Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Never heard of Agatha before? Is like a crime book. I am searching for some new things to settle down to at night. I have nearly completed the things I have been listening to so far.

Hope you managed to have a good day x

  • Morning Jamie Blush paw high fives gratefully received and returned to the gorgeous kitties! Aw, the thought of Elijah being puzzled is so cute, but well done you for getting on the treadmill - excellent work.

Well I hope you get somewhere with the sofa - I have my monthly headache of hoping the delivery guy will drop OH's med supplies off today. Our neighbours have a big gate and the drivers think they're encroaching on private property! They're not and I've had to put a notice on said gate before now, otherwise they beggar off with the pacel! Grrr

You're probably in the same boat my friend, waiting for a day without hitches! Hugs and smiles all round xxx

  • Elijah and Rebecca said meow meow (thank you) in English hehe. It was funny to see his puzzled face watching me walking fast lol. But feels good to finally getting some normality back. Still get anxious now and then with more treatments to come. But decided time to get back to life amd living the best I can.

It is frustrating when they dont look at notices either and I guess you have been having them delivered for a while, and still no one communicates with each other...to other drivers or at least put a note on his records to highlight this issue. Xx

  • I totally agree with that last sentence Pepper.

Sending lots of luck for next week Hugging Four leaf cloverxx

  • This is good news has in you have a date now. Like you say it lessens the worry a little. I did relax a little more once I knew I was finally getting to see some one face to face. I could ask all the questions and get some real answers too.

I am out for lunch again. I be glad to be back work in April lol all these lunches and coffees are adding up lol and waist line hehe.

Love a good browse around charity shops,  amazing what people give away. Fingers crossed you find some good books to read. I have seen the weather is going to turn again to cold and wet...so a good book under a warm blanket sounds really good idea. Xx

  • Morning Pepper Hot pepper️ I get how bally awful the waiting is sweetheart, but you've finally got a date to focus on. Thank goodness for small mercies!

Anyway my lovely, I hope you do find a good read to get immersed in - it's worked for me and something else I find distracting is colouring in. OH bought me two Colour Your Streets books for Christmas, Leeds and Bradford. I get engrossed when the pencil crayons hit the images and it's very relaxing. Maybe not your cup of tea my love, but perhaps others will find it a stress reliever too.

Big hugs coming your way xxx

  • Hi

I’d like to add my good wishes for your results next week. It’s really hard in this limbo period of waiting to find out more, but I know I found things easier to deal with once my results were back and had a plan.

What kind of books do you like reading? I’m sure others will appreciate recommendations if you can pick up anything good in the charity shop. Getting engrossed in a book is such a good way to focus your mind on something different for a while so happy book hunting!

Good to hear that you've got an appointment. Think positive thoughts until then.

  • Hey Gill

I love colouring books! They are great to keep busy with. I have a lot of ones which have quite fiddly patterns but hopefully my new specs will stop me going over the lines! It’s a great stress reliever so it’s a good idea for anyone looking for something to pass the time while concentrating on something different.
