Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hello, and a very warm welcome to the forum. xx
Hi Lisa Louise
It's good to hear that you're feeling more positive after chatting in our Awake group, we sometimes go off at a tangent and chat about all kinds of things. I think it helps to take your mind off your worries for a short time.

Hi Julie, and a warm welcome from me too lovely.
I'm so sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, and the worry that goes with it, but try not to let your mind race and definitely don't consult Dr Google - listen to your real doctors for advice.
When you get your treatment plan it should ease your anxiety, as you'll then be able to take back some control. In the meantime, drop in here whenever you like to chat and make new friends who are always up for giving support to all.
Sending you hugs sweetheart xxx
Thank you everyone. I'm just waiting for my CT scan. Been injected and just waiting to go in. Various family members have popped in over the last couple of days (there have been tears) but now I have a few minutes alone as hubby has been sent out. In a weird way, it's good not to try to be normal for an hour (not that they want me too, I just don't want them to feel sad). It's hard to see them upset but I guess we'll all have to get used to the cards we have been dealt. You comments and support are really appreciated. Thank you xxxx
Thinking of you Julie , good luck and stay strong x
