Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Good morning, Puzzle.

I am so pleased last session of treatment.  went well. It is very normal to have different emotions at different times. I am sure once Tuesday comes you will have more answers.

I found it helped me to write some questions down to. I wish I had done this at the start as often I got home and thought I wish I asked this or that. So last review I wrote a couple down and felt it kept me focused on the ones which are important for me.

All the best, and hope you find some time to enjoy the day to do some thing you enjoy. x

  • Glad your last chemo went well and yes, getting rid of the PICC line certainly helps.

Good luck for Tuesday, let us know how you get on.

  • Thanks Gill.
It hasn’t been quite so nice today, but I did get washing outside. It is raining now though. I agree, it’s lovely to hear the birds singing too. xx

  • Thank you Daisy Blush Yes, Wednesday's appointment was good, but today's didn't have us jumping for joy. The neurologist, who was a miserable so-and-so, told us OH will have to wear a portable ECG for 48 hours and have an ultrasound on his neck to check blood flow in the vessels. If they're ok, which is doubtful knowing our luck, we'll have to go back in 6 months. So more appointments and expensive travel in the offing.

I've stopped sulking now though Joy xxx
