Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Oh no. What a mess around for you both. It is annoying, but like you say no point ranting and raving. I think I am okay to wait one more day. Many others today are in a greater need than me.
Coffee and cake sounds like a very happy compromise and not a bad way to spend the afternoon xx
See how kind you are Jamie, putting others' needs before your own. Top bloke!
Yes, it was lovely to sit down and enjoy the treat, especially as we'd had a bit of a trek - it's a good job OH has got his trusty walking stick, Walter, to prod him along xxx
Evening Helen No doubt you'll be glad to get home, but you've been great with Alan's parents - cooking and preventing them from electrocuting themselves. Sterling work lass.
Now it's getting warmer on a night, I'd be tempted to kip in the motorhome as you've slept well on wheels xxx
Hi Gill, glad you've found that link helpful. I don't always fall asleep listening to them, but some nights listen to one of them (the longer one read by the man) several times over and find it calms me down. I had a long & tiring day at the hospital yesterday having another MRI scan and the pre-op tests before I go in for surgery on Tuesday. Going to be odd for me as only ever spent one night in hospital in my life. But know I'll be in good hands & well looked after. My brother & friends are being really supportive. However, feeling a bit anxious again tonight. Taken 2 paracetamol as only thing I can take at the moment. But will listen to the meditations. Something else I enjoy listening to is a series on BBC sounds called 'Curious under the stars' read by some lovely Welsh actors (in English), quite soporific and calming, and mysterious based around old myths & legends. So off to my bed and see how the night goes xx
