Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi Jamie, that’s wonderful news-congratulations to you all! I became a grandma in 2024 and it’s wonderful.
Sarah xx
Morning Jamie, and huge congratulations to you both! I've just woken up to your brilliant news and thank you for sharing it with us.
Aw a little boy, but the guessing game on his name will start now, so I'll set the ball rolling with Pudding. Probably not but please give us a clue? Can't wait to tell OH when he surfaces, and you've put a shine on the day. Sending big hugs to you and yours xxxx
Morning Sarah, and thank you lovely.
Aye, it's been quite a wait but I'm glad we were invited to a F2F meeting as I could get our case across better than a phone call. It's taken a lot of pressure off the money front and will pay for all the taxis we use for OH's appointments. Phew. Hugs sweetheart xxx
Good morning Imdoingmybest, and welcome aboard.
I'm sorry I missed you in the early hours as I'm usually awake too, but I zonked out around 2 and slept through. I hope you managed to get some sleep eventually sweetheart. Sending you hugs xxx
It just takes the pressure off financially, doesn’t it? I’m able to use it to pay for my power assisted wheelchair through the motobility scheme which is a godsend.
I agree it’s better f2f when they can actually see you in person and you can speak for hubby since he can’t. It’s quite hard on the phone when they are assuming certain things as they did for me-like I didn’t sound in pain and was not angry/rude speaking to the assessor. I can’t believe that went against me!
Anyway, now you’ve got it you can relax!
Sarah xx
Thanks Sarah ️ that could be why I slept better last night!
Yes, I remember you saying about your phone assessment and I really didn't want the same for us, so I guess we were lucky it panned out at our first attempt. It's great you can use the money towards your wheelchair and for us it'll help with random things too, like extra wash loads and meaty electric bills. We won't be rushing out to dine on lobster, unfortunately!
Now you have a good day sweetheart and take care xxx
