Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi Doreen.
Aw I'm pleased for you that you've got an appointment lined up now hon. I think it could be a good idea to talk to the nurse, as many have undertaken training to help patients dealing with anxiety. You'll probably be able to guage how willing she'll be to listen, but give it a go anyway as you've nothing to lose.
Take all the help you can and hopefully you'll find yourself in a better place soon. Sending you hugs xxx
That's a shame Doreen, as I've only ever heard good things about them. There are other organisations but it's usually dependent on where you live. You could always ask at your doctor's on Thursday, and they might have leaflets or phone numbers, or could even put a referral in for you to see a counsellor, although that could take some time.
Ask at reception for details of local support groups or apps for dealing with anxiety or depression. Make yourself heard and they should listen. Good luck xxx
Good evening, cabinet.
