Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I'm so glad you're improving lovely, and that's what we all like to hear.
Ooh Scotland, you lucky lass; one of my favourite places and we had lovely holidays in St Andrews and Dunbar when I was a youngster. Wonderful memories. Take care sweetheart xxx
Hi I am waiting to see haematologist in June. I have been on watch and wait since 2024 with b cell non Hodgkin lymphoma. My symptoms have been mild up until December when I get sore throat and water infections and I get acid reflux too and a funny taste in my mouth. It’s making me so worried every day and can’t sleep properly as I keep waking up feeling a bit hot even during the day. I’m tired all the time and have no interest in doing much. I have grandchildren that I love and husband and do snd a son and daughter and 99 year old Mum. I’m 71 and am scared what’s going on. Is there anything someone can support me with like diagnose what the treatment might be. Thank you xx
Nothing wrong with a crying at all. Its really helps to let those feelings flow. Its all overwhelming. You are doing really well and you have been given some other avenues of support to look at. Big hugs. The whole community here is with you for support
Good evening Rainbow and a warm welcome to our group.
I'm so sorry you're having issues my lovely, but don't despair as there are things that may help you get round them. I saw that you're already a member of the non- Hodgkin lymphoma forum, so maybe post your concerns there and see if the members can give you some advice. If you'd like to know about treatments the NHS and Macmillan sites give extensive information on these. But, if you're worried about symptoms you're experiencing now, you could give your CNS or key worker a call as it's still quite a wait till June. There's also your GP and if you tell them you're on watch and wait but getting anxious, they should be able to give sound advice too. Have a think about your options but don't leave it too long as you need respite sooner rather than later.
Wishing you all the best sweetheart, and drop in here anytime you feel like it xxx
I am sure once the support comes through and those groups you have kindly been signposted to, will make things a little easier. I know its all a stress and there may seem no end at the moment. You have already made the first few steps, and that in its self is a achievement.
