Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Awww Rebecca, so sweet. Yep, after seeing her sideways look OH will do her bidding as he doesn't want to get on her wrong side!

Jamie, you'll obviously be anxious about this week but take it a day at a time, relax and listen to your own inner good sense. Don't think about work just yet as that will take care of itself. Concentrate on the here and now, and remember you've got us if you need any late night chats - that's if I've stopped channeling Ichabod Crane (Legend of Sleepy Hollow)!

OH and me are sending you all our best xxx

  • Oh yes the side glances are the ones I dont mess with. Hehe.

I will take each day, and face it head on like I have been doing so far. It just never ending appointments this week and I really need to make a start on decorating the lounge too. This will give me something else to think about this week. Making a start in it this evening.

  • Well Sleepy Hollow wasn't mentioned Sweat smile although I liked the film when I watched it, many moons ago. Could have had something to do with Johnny Depp? Anyway, get your OH to help with the decorating for when you make a start, but careful if you need to use stepladders as I don't want you talking a tumble.

Ok hon, shopping calls for me so have a good time when you meet your friend for lunch and enjoy xxx

  • Afternoon Kez Hugging  all good here sweetheart and I hope you're doing well too.

Our weather forecast said it's supposed to be milder but I couldn't feel it - a real nip in the wind when I was shopping! Well we know Jamie's got similar in Leicester, so hopefully you've got a better outlook where you are. Hugs back lovely xxx

  • Hello.
Yeah, I am getting there, thanks. Still a bit sore and bruised, but it is improving.
It is windy here in Scotland, but we have had blue skies at times. It’s nice to see the spring flowers starting to come out. xx

  • Love it. She sounds like a real character. I agree, ready for spring now. xx
