Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi Marylyn
Welcome to the Community, I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on the breast cancer and triple negative breast cancer forums. I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with a blood cancer. When you feel up to it why not give us a little bit of information about yourself and your type of blood cancer so that you can get the support you need at this time.
Best of luck with whatever comes next for you.
Best wishes
Daisy53
Hi Homebird
I’m really sorry to read of your diagnosis. It’s always such a scary time for us to hear those words, and it’s so stressful. I hope you’ll find the forum helpful for you to give you support and a place to share what you’re going through. Other members will do their best to help.
I see you have joined the brain cancer group and already had replies. You mentioned in one of your posts that you thought the diagnosis was glioblastoma, and I just wanted to let you know that if this is the case, we have another group which might be helpful for you. This is the link
I’ll tag my fellow champ in that group Wee Me who was carer for her husband with the disease, so I’m sure you’ll hear from her if you’d like/need to join that group.
I hope you’ve managed to talk things through with your nurse-I found everything was a lot to take in when I was first diagnosed. Meanwhile, there’s always someone to chat to here any time you need to.
Sarah xx
