Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Gill 4am....you night owl. I should have sent a message i was awake too. I did fall asleep then woke at 3am and struggled to settle till around 5 ish. I had the dreaded paperwork to start prembro and reading it made my mind whirl. Even though I know its the right choice and I will go through with it. It hard when you see it written down.
Anyway, I do hope you and the OH are keeping well and he is feeling a bit better. Tell him I sent a thumbs up too x
Hi Jamie I've just shown OH your post and he's sent you one back!
I wish you'd have known I was still up and we could have talked each other to sleep. Aw hon, I really hope you do well with the immunotherapy and it doesn't make you feel rank. Just make sure you look after yourself and get plenty of rest if possible.
I started replying to you almost ten minutes ago but got logged out for some reason?? Back in business now though. Hugs champ xxx
We could have done as well. I am sure all will be okay. Just makes it more real to read it and then bang! Mind in over drive again. But more relaxed after spending a day in Nottingham with a close friend.
I think these app often log out for security. It's done it to me a couple of times too.
Hehe thumbs up is a good sign. So happy with that. Its when its down I will have to find another pic of my fur babies to keep him and you smiling. xx
Evening Doreen and welcome aboard sweetheart xx
Going by what you wrote on your profile it's good news, so well done. I get about you still struggling though, as my OH's the same - a different cancer and NED, but the aftermath of surgery and treatment have left their mark. We're all here to support each other though, so anytime you need a lift we'll try to supply it. Sending hugs xxx
Jamie, please give those sweet kitties a fuss from us, and tell them thank you for allowing us to see their photos. If they're anything like my eldest's pair that's a grand gesture - her two rule the whole house and pick and choose who they'll entertain! X
Hi, I'm back. Well today I received a diagnosis from the neurology consultant- fast growing tumour on my brain. Pre-op & op in next 2 weeks to be followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy but may return again after treatment. I am devastated and scared. Feeling tired but doubting I'll get much sleep tonight. How do you remain positive?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
