Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Hi Paly

Sorry to see that you're having some severe aftereffects of your cancer surgery. I can't offer any better suggestions than Gill & Jamie but I hope you can get some help with your diet and sleep.

  • That’s beautiful. x

  • Hello, and a warm welcome to the new members of the group. Sending you hugs. xx

  • Evening Kez Wave How are you doing sweetheart? Good I hope. I fell asleep this afternoon for a couple of hours but I'm feeling sleepy again - that could be because OH is watching rugby and it bores me rigid! Sending hugs xxx

  • Hello Gill.
I am doing good, thanks. Hope you are too?
I seen my Oncologist and Surgeon yesterday, so now ready for my surgery on Wednesday. xx

  • I catch up with the TV shows my husband detests.

  • Morning Kez Hugging I'm glad you're feeling well sweetheart - not too long to wait and then you'll be on your way to recovery. Take things easy till then and don't overstretch yourself.

It's just started snowing here, so keep warm too if you get some of the same. Sending big hugs xxx

  • Good morning Joules, and welcome aboard xxx

That sounds like a good plan you've got there, but OH and myself must be the odd couple as we tend to enjoy the same shows. I'd no intention of doing so, but I even got into the rugby match he was watching the other night. It's usually like watching paint dry, so wonders never cease. Sending you hugs xxx

  • Thank You Gill. No, it won’t be long.
We had some snow earlier, but it didn’t come to much. We have got the heating on keeping warm.
I hope the snow where you are wasn’t too bad?
    You stay warm too.
The sun is out here, and it’s beautiful. xx
