Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi there Angelika, and a very warm welcome to our friendly group
Aw I'm sorry to hear about your worries my lovely, and no wonder you're up and down right now. But you've made a start by joining us, and if you join the Breast cancer group too, you'll find plenty of support and advice there from a lovely bunch of ladies who'll know just what you're going through. Try not to think too far ahead about treatment after surgery, as your team will guide you should you need it.
When a community champion sees your post, they'll be able to provide a link to the Breast cancer group if you'd like to join. Always feel free to post here anytime you like for a chat though. Sending you hugs xxx

Hi Angelika, so sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but a big welcome to the group x I was diagnosed similar time to you, not breast but cervix. I feel the same, still not sure if in shock or taking things in my stride. If it helps, ive found not thinking too far ahead, mainly day at a time (can sound like a cliche i know ). Today is my second week of treatments, I just tick off each treatment on my appointments letter and each day I feel " I can do this!". I wish you well. Welcome again to "night owls
"
Hugs Lesley xx
