Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

That all sounds superb Lynne, and you must be looking forward to seeing them again so much
I've never been to Wales but know we'd love it, especially with the sea to gaze at. One of my best friends on the forums lives in West Wales on the coast, the lucky girl.
We're spending Christmas at home, just the two of us. It's easier for us to stay home as all my fella's med supplies are here and I'm so used to having everything to hand. We didn't have Christmas or NY at all last year as he was in hospital throughout, so it'll be nice to just relax on the day. I'm still cooking a full dinner though xxx
We'll be at our son & DiL's with our Grandkids, Thora & Remy who are 3y & 22 months old. Luckily they only live 3.5 miles away.
Boxing Day will be here with the above and our daughter & SiL.

My son and family are staying in Wales over christmas, they've invited us , think we are just going for christmas day and come home though, we have two other sons to visit. When i initially found out I had cancer in October, i didn't want to think about christmas. Now im looking forward to it. Im awaiting pre treatment scan and tattoos, i already have 4 so the little dots will be at home . Not sure when actual chemo, radiotherapy and brachytherapy will all be. So just going with the flow. Ive just started a new course, it covers lots of things, one being pyrography, so my own wood burning tool is on my christmas list
hugs all
Sending you strength and hoping all your treatment goes well
I've been meaning to ask - do you actually keep bees? xxx
I am new to it, started earlier this year and I love it. Working with a very experienced beekeeper. We dont disturb them much over the winter, wait until next year and when it starts to warm up. Theyre lovely, fascinating. Plus love the honey. We dont take it all, leave lots for over winter . My morning drink is fresh ginger, lemon and honey xxx
Ooh, that drink is delicious and so good for you. Bees are fascinating and wonderful little creatures - we love them! My uncle in Austria was an experienced beekeeper, and sold large tubs of honey to several outlets, along with other produce from his farm. You're lucky to be able to have the real McCoy to enjoy.
Over on the Head and Neck cancer forum, one of the Community Champs, Dani, also keeps bees and her username is Beesuit. She sent photos of them a while ago which were super.
Time for me to settle my OH for the night, now his care routine is done. You have a lovely evening my love xxx
Ill find a photo of the bees. Goodnight and take care
I'll look forward to seeing it, and many thanks xxx
