Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Good evening Fry, and a very warm welcome to our friendly group.
I read some of your posts today on H&N forum, I'm also a member there as my OH's carer, and maybe you're referring to your hubby's team being obstructive about him having a RIG fitted.
You're not alone my lovely, but amongst others who totally understand your fears, anxiety and sheer frustration with the whole caboodle. I've been exactly where you are now; still there quite often after just over a year, but I promise things will get easier as time goes on.
Due to the nature of his surgery, my fella CA no longer speak so it's imperative that I attend every appointment, and the rest, with him as his official voice. Do you have a good relationship with his CNS, as she/he should really be your first port of call. You can make your concerns known to them so they can liaise with higher ups. I post on my phone and there's usually a bit of a delay answering, so bear with me and I'll try to help you. Don't despair, as between us we may be able to get you in a better place. Sending you big hugs xxx
Do sorry you are going through this .i have not stopped crying since Friday start chemotherapy and immunotherapy on tuesday.i have never felt like this and i don't surposed you have phone your doctors and explain to them how you are feeling .théy might be able to help you ..sending hugs
Aw Lynne, my poor love. Fry and yourself are really going through it, but stay with us for support and strength. None of us want you to be upset, but make sure you tell your team how you're feeling, as they should help you too. The treatment is there to get you well, so look on it as a means to a better outcome. Take some deep breaths and try to calm yourself sweetheart. Everyone here will always listen, and we've got your back. Sending you strength and hope, and a big virtual hug xxx
Thank you .i have already been through chemotherapy and radiotherapy last year .was doing well till my last scan .i am to have more treatment for lung cancer .i am so pleased to get replys of people who understand sending hugs back
No worries Lynne, and I'm so sorry you're having to go through this again. But this is the place to let off steam, in whatever manner you feel like as we never judge and always listen.
Do you have good support at home? Myself, I'd rather moan or vent here as family mean well but don't understand how much a cancer diagnosis can upset everything. Our lives go kaput but I sometimes think our nearest and dearest think we're going overboard. Are you struggling with sleep, because there are ways to conquer the demons that keep us awake? Hugs hon xxx
Thank you my sister is my angel she has been to see me every day,and will be coming to treatment with me .i have other help from family..thanks again for your support i am finding a lot of help here to .
Aw that's great about your sister, and especially supporting you with your treatment ️ That will be a load off your mind.
Well my lovely, I'd better try for some sleep as we've got an early appointment. The trouble is I'm not remotely tired, but my tried and tested (and bonkers) way of nodding off is to listen to Raven Reads on YouTube. Not for the faint hearted as she tells ghost and horror stories, but in a very soothing American drawl. Does the business every time for me. Hope you manage to sleep too sweetheart xxx
