Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Good night Gilly, xx PS I'm sending you a PM before I go to sleep.

  • Hello Gill,

Yes the food is really good but huge portions which I struggle with - however they'll give you a food container to take the remainder home for later if you want.

A couple of other 'photos, this time of local bird life if you like these, a Mexican Jay sitting on the bonnet of the car this pm up in the mountains and a Northern Cardinal on the bird feeder outside our kitchen window the other day (not sure what type the little fella on the wall is looking on is).

  • Morning Eddie

Thora & Remy are our grandkids, they are 3 & 18 months old and very cute (they have got my dna Rofl)

It seems I'm on the road to recovery from the heavy cold, I feel much better this morning.

We're going to go to Canterbury today for some Christmas shopping but first our Tesco delivery is coming between 9-10am.

  • Thora Hurd is my favourite actress ever,

When choosing Thora's name, James & Ashleigh (son & DiL) had never heard of her. I told them about her and Ashleigh did a bit of research. It turns out she was a very strong woman with many achievements in life.

  • Wonderful views.

  • What lovely coloured birds.

  • Morning Helen and thank goodness you're finally getting over that cold.

Yes, I love Thora Hird films, especially the kitchen sink ones, and her daughter Jeanette Scott also appeared in many films. I'll bet your two grandkids are extra cute.

Enjoy the shopping spree guys xxx

  • Morning Helen, their very lucky grandkids if they look like nana, and aren't they just the best for lifting your mood, we have our Mandy's boys with us in Greece, but I'm missing the little ones.

I'm glad your feeling better and getting out, Christmas shopping in Canterbury sounds special.

Well my lot are sat on the beach, deciding what to do today, while I have a swimGrinning, I have to bury my clothes in the sand; as the buggers would hide them Grrr.

    Have fun my friend

    Eddie xx

  • Hello Derek and a big thank you for the photos of those gorgeous birds. Aw what little beauties they are and amazing colours, too. I think I could have been a twitcher in a previous life as they fascinate me and I can watch them for ages.

Good news about the food being tasty, but they probably wouldn't need to provide a container for this gut bucket as I'd devour the lot! Now I'll be able to put authentic taste to the visuals when watching American films.

The Mexican jay reminded me - did you manage to cross the border? No matter, but pack in the sights as Thursday's looming, so enjoy xxx

    You old charmer Sweat smile

We're home from Canterbury, mission accomplished. I wanted to go to a particular stationery shop to get some make yourself crackers. We also sampled Wetherspoons Christmas meal which was quite good, especially for the price.
