Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Oh Shelagh, the waiting is torturous. We had to wait almost 5 months post treatment to get the All Clear result for my hubby. Got it last Thursday. I sobbed with relief.
His was head and neck cancer. The treatment was brutal and the recovery worse. He’s still gota long way to go but we’re taking each day as it comes
Our story is in my profile.
Stick with this forum, there is usually somebody around to chat to.
Take care, chin up ….
Hugs Debs xx
Morning Sheelagh.
The waiting's possibly the worst part but once you know what's what, you can start regaining some control.
Aw love, I totally understand your feelings about discovering the lump but it's done now and you absolutely did the right thing in not ignoring it. My mum was 86 when she found a lump and lived to age 94 - it was another condition and age that finally put her to rest.
Fingers crossed for Wednesday and enjoy Norfolk, it's a beautiful part of the country.
Hugs, Gill xx
Hi again love. Yes, the worry is indeed awful and adds to an already stressful time. Maybe it's time to open up to s trusted friend? Sharing your worries often helps a great deal and there are plenty of kind folks here to support you and provide a listening ear. And if sleep is difficult you're in the right place here as night owls are often swooping about.
Take good care lass. Gill xx

Hi Julie and well done, you! Excellent work! You've been through quite an ordeal but you're out on the other side now, so concentrate on healing and getting your strength built up.
Kids are very resilient so I imagine your grandchildren will be more curious than anything else. Answer any questions they might ask - you'll know best how to guage the answers, but don't hide away and accept what you've been told by others.
Sounds like you're still in dock and I'm not surprised you're having trouble sleeping; I never could either when hospitalised and also craved a return home. Get the puzzle books out and just relax if you can. How's hubby getting on with the gazebo? Hopefully he's been getting stuck in for when you get back home and not glued to watching sport instead!
All best wishes for a speedy recovery and take good care.
Gill xx
