Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Gill, crazy afternoon yesterday. We went into Newcastle University to take part in an experiment. They wanted people in their 60's to watch a film, a Chinese film, with subtitles. They had a camera on us, recording our reactions. Then we got interviewed about what we saw and thought!
Can you remember a series in the 1970's called 'Monkey'? It was similar to that, some of the subtitles were unreal, many rude references. They made me laugh mostly. Then when getting interviewed I was asked why I laughed at certain points in the film.
The film went on for 90 minutes, plus about an hour of interviews. An enjoyable afternoon! Then we got a couple of gift cards for M&S and Argos.
There's a part 2 of the film, and they want us to go back for that!

Morning Stevie, absolutely my friend, I'd take that option any time, I did have zero libido for a long while, and came up with many excuses to not be intimate, even after the urethral bleeding had stopped, it wasn't fooling Sheila, but she played along bless her, which made me feel worse, so I "forced," myself to put Sheila's needs first, and within a few months the libido was back, our love life was good again, maybe better than ever, then cancer struck again through gland ectasia of the bladder, so we had to find other ways to be intimate, but thanks to millibob, we've returned to an almost normal sex life, just as Sheila's jetting off to Australia....Bugger

I'm certain you would hon, as you're a very kind bloke.
It's very common to lose certain functions after a TL, some physical and some psychological but that's by the by. It's others I feel sad for. When H was having RT, we used to see a couple of his fellow larys, always by themselves and pretty unkempt. I guess they didn't have someone to properly care for them, poor souls.
Anyway, we've got exercise class this afternoon and the lass is a slave driver! I'm hoping she rounds it off with meditation and soothing music, like last week, as that was fab. Have a good day Steve xxx
I still just try and make a joke of the E.D. Just one of the ways I cope with it.
T-shirts with "E.D. It's not HARD is it!!"
I know everyone is different in the way they cope. I've always been a joker... allegedly! In my diaries I have come out with some crazy stuff, making me either laugh or cry (more laughs please...).
I'd better go before I start waffling... Oops too late!!!

Well Steve, how do you find these things in the 1st place? Awww I remember Monkey, vaguely, as it was like nothing else on TV, I think they did a remake but but never watched it and have never seen the original one since, wow part 2 to come have fun, did they say what the experiment is about, maybe it's about subliminal messages and their brainwashing you lol

Hello Steve (Stevecam)
Yes, you have to take the ED side effect with a pinch of salt. I also have a T-Shirt with a picture of a chicken on it.
The slogan under the chicken reads "Prostate Cancer messed with the wrong cock". obviously a reference to the unfortunate chicken!!
.
Kind Regards - Brian.
