Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I'm hanging in there, I spend so much time every day thinking about the next step for me, and what I should do. It's just one of those life choices that you're forced to make, and you hope and pray you don't regret it.
Thanks for the recommendation, I was wondering if that series was going to be any good or not. I've seen the original It movie with my parents, and I can't remember who I watched the remake with, but it was decent, yet pretty scary like the original. I'll give the first episode a go later today!
I find that my best chances to get any kind of sleep is when it's raining hard, or the sound of thunder in the distance. It doesn't always work, but I'm convinced my chances are better. I've even tried the weird ASMR thing hoping certain sounds might help me sleep better, but that was wishful thinking on my part. I just hurt too much, between the new tumor, my phantom pain always driving me crazy, and my lower back pain that's progressively gotten worse over the last few years, it's hard for me to focus on anything.
Anyway, I'll share my thoughts on the series later!

Ok my lovely. I've seen the originals too and this new version was watchable, for me anyway. Time to take advantage of the programmes on offer.
Oh lovely, it's awful to hear about your pain and how it affects your sleep, and the rest. I've read about phantom limb pain and it's a very real handicap for the sufferer, as well as amputation. You're so brave and I hope your choices will be the best for yourself xx
I've got my fingers crossed for thundery nights to help you relax, but they're a rarity, unfortunately. Sending hugs and strength xxx
Stacy, I hadn't known a single person with cancer before I was diagnosed (BC-Before cancer). Now it seems like everyone is affected by cancer in some way.
Cancer has given me one good thing!! Tons and tons of empathy!!!
I know exactly what you mean by:
Someday's it's all just more overwhelming than others, the pain and lack of sleep wears you down little by little.
You are very brave, and definitely an inspiration to others!!!
Take care!

Hi Helen
Thats a good reminder for us all, and I hope your friend is ok and wasn’t too badly scalded. I do check mine often for any possible damage and I know my current one is not too old as we replace them regularly. But it’s a horrible thing to happen, and they should definitely be replaced within the 2 years just to be on the safe side.
Sarah xx
