Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I just checked here and it’s 11 degrees but feels like 4! I’ve got my hoodie and gloves on and a blanket over my legs on the sofa!

I’ll be getting a hot water bottle bottle once my foot care lady has been and gone, and more coffee now!

Hi Peggy
I have osteoporosis as well and I have had bad experiences as well with my rheumatology department. They just whack you on medication for five years and leave you to it. I am on alendronic acid which I’ve not had side effects with. My sister however has breast cancer with bone mets and she’s on zolendronic acid to strengthen her bones. She started the infusions a couple of years ago when she started chemo and she’s had terrible bone pain it kept her awake for nights. The side effects got less as her body got used to it. You must be exhausted with no sleep and all the pain but if you can manage to speak to someone there must be something to help…either change the medication, there are lots of alternatives or sort out some effective pain relief. I’m sending a big hug to you xxx
