Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • That is beautiful I've always wanted to get to see the ocean

  • Have a lovely time Odette x

  • Hi Introuble, and welcome to our little thread, I was sorry to read about your cancer diagnosis my friend, one which we don't share, but I do understand your CHF, I have ischemic heart disease and CHF is/was a very likely development for me, until nerve blocks became an option for me so all my arterial blocks could be repaired without the need for a GA, which I wouldn't survive, so there's always hope my friend. I think it was disgusting how you were treated by your doctors, I'd be writing a letter of complaint. I'll have everything crossed you get your licence back, and you get to see the ocean.

  • Thank you! They're so excited! Counting down the days.  Ive got ao much to do l. Always last minute lol

  • Don't stress about it love. I always make a list of the important things, then cross them off when I've done them. I add the lesser things and get to them as and when. You'll be ready for Monday but will have two live wires to calm down in the meantime Grinning

    Enjoy it all hon xxx

  • Thank you very much I'm sorry wasn't aware of not telling diagnosis would it be okay to post the thing I'm having a lot of problems out of on here if not I understand but just seems like I can't get a straight answer for it but God bless you all

  • Hi Gill

I can recommended hot water bottles from Boots with covers on-they retain the heat really well. I have others from the likes of Home Bargains which are cheaper and ok, but not as good. I love having hot water bottles-I think I’m probably the only person who took one to Australia, Bali and the Maldives!Joy

I weigh myself once a week (Saturday’s the day) but I’m trying to lose a bit of timber after my diabetes diagnosis and to put less strain on my poor old hips. We’ve completely changed our diet, but it’s slow going. However, the number on the scales is going down, so it’s working and we are both trying hard to do better-no snacking etc..I have been dreaming of a big piece of carrot cake or a custard slice this week but have resisted both!

Feel free to chat away about whatever you’d like-you’re very welcome to have joined us here and I hope you’ll enjoy being part of the community.
