Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Hi Jann, I'm not sure if your asking me. but I've had a quiet weekend, my partner and my aunties left for the Scilly' Isles on Saturday. and today I was at my youngest daughter's farm for most of the day, having dinner and catching up with family.

    love Eddie xx

  • Sounds like good times my friend. and I'm not surprised you have the electric blanket on, we've had the central heating on for nearly a month. Strange thing growing up in the Highlands, we were in a caravan for about a year, and the only time it was really warm inside was when we he'd more than 5ft of snow, cosy. I'm not familiar with the 4 Yorkshiremem sketch...

  • Yes, your replies to me and others are getting through just fine. I think it can be a bit more difficult using the forum with a smartphone. I'm using a macbook-air (netbook i.e. a smaller laptop) but even with its decent screen size and 2 years on the forum I still find some actions slow to respond. Ray x

  • Awww thanks Debs, dinner with family is always nice, more so having 8 grandkids there, and my three girls, sleep well sweetheart.

    love Eddie and family xx

  • Eddie, it was just random.  I was at 'breaking point'. I was just lucky I was allowed in.

I had a bit chat with the man afterwards, I told him "he was a lifesaver!"

  • how was your shopping trip, did you go into the city, or was it a food shop,

The shopping was just for food. Mum-in-law said she didn't need anything but would find something to buy Rofl

  • Hi Steve, I've been thinking about your good samaria today, and wondering why we're so surprised he let you use the loo, as I  for one still believe there are far more good people than bad, would you do it again my friend?

    Eddie xx

  • Hi Helen, I've only ever been to Liverpool once, to an Italian restaurant on the harbour, which was very nice, as was the harbour, but would you recommend it for a short break?, how do you find it my friend.

    Eddie xx

  • When we left Liverpool 26 years ago it was a totally different place but more recently we have had lots of people tell us they've loved their visits there.

I would certainly recommend a visit now, it's much improved and we enjoy being here for short trips.

Our daughter and her husband are staying in the Travelodge opposite Albert Dock, near the Pier Head and said they'd stay there again.

  • Eddie, I had no idea who was going to answer the door, never mind me asking if I could use the loo.

It led me to believe that there are still some good people out there.

Would I do it again?  That's the $65,000000 question!  If I was desperate again!

Would I now let a stranger... probably!
