Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Awww, your very welcome my friend, and we've all had to contend with the well meaning messages, from family and friends, who have no idea what we're going through, though something the lovely people on here do. So you go ahead and offload, rant, moan, or shout at us, as we've all been there, regarding the waiting, fill your time as much as possible doing the things you enjoy, and keep reminding yourself, your treatments are we hope going to knock your cancer into the back of beyond, and that no one can be certain what, if any side effects you may get, and that your team will have ways to help you manage them if needed, so tell them everything my friend, even things you may think are unimportant, as it will help them, help you.
Eddie xx
Thanks Gilly; as we say, if family's happy, we're happy. I must get some sleep my friend, I'm at my hospice at 8am for counselling, and have some birthday presents to open, as well as 7 letters from my hospitals
, sleep well my, both of you.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Morning Gracie.
If you look in, just to send you best wishes for your treatment plan tomorrow, and I hope it will enable you to regain control and move forward with your journey ️ Big hugs xxx
Morning Eddie
Appointment was yesterday early doors-got a parking space no problem outside orthopaedics. It didn’t go as I thought it would, but a really nice surgeon who was very honest! It’s taking some time to get my head round everything he said and I was very deflated when I came home.
What I can say for now is that I won’t be having surgery but I’ll update properly when I’ve got it sorted in my head.

I'm so sorry to hear this my friend, and I'm truly gutted for you having your hopes dashed, and understand your need for time and reflection, and I, like all your friends are always here for you sweetheart, whenever you're ready.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
I watch the programme my house is haunted and i usually fallasleep and have left the tv on before now.
Evening Tensing and a warm welcome to the group.
I too relax myself off to sleep with ghost stories, but my creepster of choice is Raven Reads on YouTube. A soothing voice, with rain pattering in the background, relating supposedly true spine tingling shockers.
I've dozed off many times while this is going on, and woken a couple of hours later with the telly wasting juice. I've learned my lesson and switch it off before I invite Raven in now.
Hope you're doing ok my friend, and hopefully asleep too xxx
We're on our way to the Lakes and I will be popping up to Glasgow for a day as well
Enjoy your trip
