Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

A little question please…I see people using the acronym LOH but what does it stand for?

That’s made me smile Gill! I know it as something that’s used in another language as a kind of exclamation, and then I presumed its use in the chat here was something to do with other half but I wasn’t sure.
I was reminded of my dear mum when I got her a mobile phone and she got into the way of texting eventually. She kept putting LOL at the end of every text…when I asked why, she explained she thought it meant lots of love!

Oh lordy, just like mine did
My mam was always getting her words mixed up - she was Austrian and would call magpies bagpipes, daft stuff, but never got annoyed when we laughed and chuckled with us. We miss her loads, as I'm sure you miss yours. Lovely to remember them though xxx
Better to have them that way than some old misery guts Jane. We used to have some great times with ours, even when she wasn't well, and she thought the world of my OH. I'm thankful she went before he got ill as she'd have been devastated, so small mercies xxx
