Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Oops! Sorry, I have improved a lot surprisingly, thanks.
How are you currently?
Cheers
Just got completely blown out of the site and it wasn't even interested when I swore down i was human!
Obviously back now so hi Gill as I saw your post when I battled through the blancmange! xxx
I expect I'll be awake for at least the next hour. Considering today is a public holiday here and I haven't left the house, it's been mad busy with more curve balls than a dozen baseball games.
I woke up late, sorted myself out and went up to the office with the intention of getting 'the only job I had' done today with time to spare. Within 30 minutes, it had developed into a manic, multitasking nightmare which continued until 4 pm when Tesco's turned up. After that, I got back to the first job I'd planned, before being messaged by the person looking after my dogs who is running out of food for them ... and so it continued, until about an hour ago when my energy drained out through my numb toes and I realised it was time to give in.
Shims, re your other post. Yourself and Ray are angels as you get it.
Do you remember that Steve Martin film, The Man with 2 Brains? Well when I was off on one the other day with OH I likened myself to that except I said I was like a woman with 2 bodies but one brain! Sounds cruel but I say what I'm thinking.
My island chef would prepare platters of lobster, white crab meat and fish daily, and then bigger platters of all cuts of meat. Chips, Yorkshires, roast taties, mash etc. No cooked veg as I only like it raw. Tons of fruit to be goodie 2 shoes xxx
And breeeeath! Fuuuu!
I am exhausted just hearing this.
Just popped to the neurodivergent thread as someone was a bit cross at no replies.
I don't know how to do the green click links but mentioned this thread.
Cheers
Waves back Gill xxx
Jeez, this should be Awake after a crap day xxx
Oooh the Yorkshire pud debate ... are they proper if not made by a Yorkshire person?
Mashed potato is one of my favourite things ... I would rather have double helping of that with gravy when out for lunch than some leathery bits of veg and the occasional thing they find to replace the meat.
Cheers
You don't know half of it!
Too tired to elaborate, and some of it might melt away in the morning. I hope. I feel like I should be eating half an orange and plotting my tactics for the second half (i.e. Tuesday). Instead, I've eaten a whole avocado and some smoked salmon, and now feel sick.
(BTW, being neurodivergent myself, I understand perfectly why someone might react in that way. After 70 years I am more likely to bottle it up, but still think it in those circumstances.)
Now I'm rambling.
Yorkshire puddings are authentic whoever makes them hon.
Well I know you're veggie but can you eat meat gravy? I never have gravy as it makes me gag.
We had a gravy debate here eons ago and I was out on my own xxx
