Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Morning all

The weather's a bit wild here today. It's a day for staying indoors.

I have skim read all of last night's posts as there's far too many for me to read.

Fingers crossed you're all ok today.

  • I am so glad that yesterday was better.
I can have my moments too, we are only human and can only take so much at times. I am sure we all get times like that.

Stay safe, and keep warm. It’s awful outside. xx

  • Aww, bless you.
Just take a day at a time, and fingers crossed that everything works out in the end.

The side effects will wear off. xx

  • Afternoon Kez Relaxed

Thanks lovely, but my 'moments' are blockbusters! Joy Good work keeping yours on the back burner. As for being human I'm starting to have doubts as I keep getting asked that sometimes before I can get in! It's a mad world but today I'm not.

Not really doing anything here except the odd shower hon, but you stay indoors and keep cosy Relaxed️ xxx

  • Hello, and it’s really lovely to hear from you.
I am so sorry to hear about your friends.
Hoping your blood tests come back okay. Sending hugs. xx

  • Afternoon Gill and anyone else who's on board at the moment. At 2pm I was thinking that the forecasters had looked at the wrong seaweed or could not find a window to peer out of. No sign of wind or much rain, then suddenly there was a hefty isolated gust which removed the cover from my mobility scooter parked in front of the bay window. The cover has a big red panel on it which alarmed me for a split second as it brushed against the window. I've retrieved it. A couple of bricks are now resisting take-off.  xxx

  • Hello Julie, good to see that hospital has left your sense of humour largely intact. Now you know why those curtains round hospital beds on wards are like shower curtains. If your ward is a special semi isolation room, are the walls painted white with a textured finish? If so, it's probably not wood chip wall paper, just a hurried redecoration between patients Grinning.  I hope the pic line has been cleared with a flush rather than needing a new one. Best wishes. xxx

  • Afternoon Ray Relaxed️

Well done anchoring Anchor️ your cover down against the rogue gust! Did you think the red bit was Spiderman swooping in to check his little buddies were safe from your vac? Watch yourself, chief.

It's starting to crank up the volume slightly here, but nothing to get alarmed about, so if that's all bobo can offer I'll forget it.  No acorns doing strange things either.

Ray, what flavour was your birthday cake Birthday and did you save me a slice? Pray Also, anyone clocked that we've gone over a million views? Good going for a youngish thread.

Oh, it took me almost half an hour to change a blown lightbulb in the kitchen, while wobbling about on the stepladders as I could barely reach. Midgets and high ceilings don't work!

Grumbling done, so you have a pleasant afternoon, Mr Ray xxx

  • Hello Gill, Coffee flavour, delicious and disappearing fast. Lovely light sponge as well, just how I like it. I would post a slice to you, but knowing how much duty I'd have to pay up front before Yorkshire customs would even look at it, the best I can offer is a photo of a slice - but not yet because my camera needs to be located. I can't use the Mac's camera for fear of getting crumbs on the keyboard. I'm a fusspot.

I thought vampires had wings? Maybe I'm confusing them with bats. I expected you to hover whilst changing the bulb. xxx
