Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

That's exactly how I feel! It really p××××s me off but his SALT therapist has got a lot more oomph where OH's concerned.
Anyway, I fulfilled my part of the bargain and rang his lymphodema nurse when we were waiting for taxi home and got him fixed up with an appointment, although that's not till early December.
I checked back in phone diary this time last year and it was ENT October 29th, ultrasound 4th November, so expecting a call either tomorrow or Monday, then I'll be calling them. After scan, anxiety ahoy!
Just got ambushed again Shims, so I'm away with the fairies ♂️
Nyt sweet cheeks, till much later on today. Sweet dreams hon xxx
And breeeeath! Yes Zzzz attempt seems like a sensible idea.
Good luck with rest, peace and even sleep.
Nyt
Edit... I love how the fairy emoji posts as the female symbol
*sigh* awake again at the usual time of 4.30-ish. Mouth very sore, so I might get up and see what I can do to sooth that. The next chemo side effect is developing - swollen, sore and running eyes, dripping nose and throat congestion. Things will feel a whole lot better once this has died down. I need to see my optician urgently and maybe find a dentist, both of which have been postponed for a year but I have to feel a lot better to face that, before surgery (another worry).
No wonder I can't sleep.
Just realised it's a bank holiday weekend here in Ireland This one always takes me by surprise. So, no point in getting worked up on Monday when companies here don't answer emails.
Still can't get back to sleep. Time to put the kettle on and empty the dishwasher, which should have finished by now.
Tea made, a load of laundry hurled into the washing machine to be done now as cheap rate electricity is still running.
Hi Dingg,
Good to hear from you. Currently hold up in isolation in hospital under going a stem cell transplant. Been here since 12th Oct.
The has hit today as they said it would...joy! My picc line has become blocked too so the vascular nurses are coming to look. They'd better not take me far from a toilet as they'll have a surprise!!
Hope life is treating you as kindly as it can Dingg.

Well, I finally woke up again at 8 am. Nobody about, no reactions since the early hours but if that's because people are asleep at last, that's a good thing.
The storm passed overnight, the worst was to the south and east of here. All the trees I can see are still standing and the electricity is still on. Good result!
Emptied the washing machine and hung everything up, about to have a shower and start the day. Just one piece of work left, so it should be a quiet day.
Morning Gill
It's good you got some sleep, even if it was broken up into chunks. I got a full 5 or 6 hours unbroken so I'm made up!
Another busy day here, when isn't it , so I'll get moving, but make sure you just do what you can whilst you're feeling rough and get plenty of cuppas to keep your engine oiled.
Chat later hon, and batten down the hatches as storm bobo or something is supposed to arrive overnight. Hugs and cheer and take Monday off! xxx
I'll try to take Monday off, but my clients are all overseas so it could be business as usual! But Mondays are usually quiet, as what I do often depends on a piece being translated into English first, so that would come to me the next day.
And yes, we have more bad weather coming through tomorrow.
Good that you got a decent amount of sleep, take care and we'll chat later!
