Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

It's not so much my throat as the left side of my mouth and tongue, which has also developed oral thrush again. I haven't had a prescription for meds for that since May so I am using apple cider vinegar. But the mouth feels less painful this morning, and once I have used the BMX mouthwash it may improve.

I feel less of a wreck this morning after a total of 8 hours' sleep (in three instalments –  yesterday afternoon, evening and night). It's lashing rain here so I have no incentive to do anything silly like going for a walk. Innocent

  • Sorry to hear that one of tumours is slightly bigger, but it's good that the rest are stable.  Sending love and hugs. xxx

(I used to live in Scotland – did my O grades and highers there in the 1970s.)

  • Hi yes i have finished my treatment but i am very cautious about crowded places. I have been going out early, washing my hands plenty also wearing a face mask. I had my flu jab aswell few weeks ago.

We have to go out and about for our mental health but need to be safe. Hope that helps a bit.

    xxx
