Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • I hope that you are feeling better today? Steroids can really affect your sleep pattern. I have been there, and done it.
Hope you have a good day.

I meant to comment the other day that your house is absolutely stunning. Lovely photos. xx

Thank you so much! The steroids are finished now, as is the chemotherapy causing most of the side effects, but I am on new meds for a new thyroid problem and suffering a little at the moment. But as my brother said on the phone recently, 'this is temporary'. I keep that in mind, as things should get better now. I hope!

  • How to Make the Samsung Keyboard Bigger
    • Open Keyboard Settings:
      • Open any app that brings up the keyboard (like Messages or Notes).
      • Tap the Settings (gear icon) directly on the keyboard toolbar, or go to Settings > General management > Samsung Keyboard settings. [1, 2, 3]
    • Adjust Size:
      • Select Size and transparency.
      • Drag the handles on the edges or corners of the keyboard frame to make it taller or wider.
      • Tap Done to save your changes. [1, 2, 3]
    • Increase System Font Size (Optional):
      • If you also want the letters and numbers on the keys to appear larger, go to Settings > Display > Font size and style and move the slider to the right. [1, 2]
  • Feel for you with thyroid .. I had an overactive thyroid, needed a beta blocker then that burnt out .. now I’m on meds for under-active.. shittest thing is how long it takes for the meds to take impact after you start them. Hang in there … took me about 8 weeks to stabilise but now it’s much better.

if you’re under active make sure you take the meds on an empty stomach and about an hour before any caffeine else it will not work anywhere near as it should!

    Good luck!!  Lisa xx
