Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Good to hear from you - the system is working again! ThumbsupHowever, most of my business expenses are fixed so whether I work or not, bills such as telephone/internet (higher spec than I would normally go for) and professional subs still have to be paid. My stocking up to get the 5,000 Tesco Clubcard points has been completed, so apart from bread and milk, I really don't need to spend anything spontaneously for a while. I have also had a good suggestion from a fellow chemo patient about how, and to whom, I should apply for some help with medical costs.

Still, I am feeling much more buoyant as I had my last chemo/ immunotherapy last Wednesday despite strike action affecting public services, although I now have new worries about what happens next.

  • Hello Gill (Dogdays)

Brilliant, positive post - I am pleased for you and life goes on.

i am 71 and still work part time, it keeps the old brain cells going and provides us with the extra money to keep going on holiday.

    Enjoy your weekend.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Afternoon all

We're home after a good trip from Derby, the roads were kind to us. It's good to be back in our own home.

    H

  • Aww, not been to Derby for years.

Was born there (a place called Chaddesden but outside Derby) but moved to Long Eaton when I was 9. I must admit I preferred shopping in Nottingham.  It felt bigger and a bit more cosmopolitan back then!! Good for teenagers!!

Still, fond memories of Derby for sure xxx

  • Just a quick pop in to catch up. wondered where you were. Could you not get into the site via clicking on a notification? Glad it was tech and not you with issues.

... You need to slap your hard butter against one side of your hot cuppa and hold it there. You can also balance your slice on top but you can get crumbs in so maybe ask for an additional cup of hot water Slight smile

Need to pop to Aldi but pointing out the obvious... if you are feeling even a tad mushy ... a sad film may tip the balance,  but a sad film with a dog in it ... you are risking a tsunami! 'Learning To Drive In The Rain' SobJoy

I can definitely see you with one of those 'sticks of authority' tucked under your arm Grin

    Ooh have to go

    Cheers

Hi, no, I have always clicked on the notification which brings me to the site - much easier! Oddly, I am using the PC today but 5 minutes ago I tried to reply via my phone as I was in another room, and I found I was logged out! It's okay on the PC though.

I am definitely not a techy! Rolling eyes

Yay, now logged in again on my phone as well. So set up for another sleepless night, and I have the new PW on a scrap of paper. I need to find a way to save it on the phone.

  • Hi, did you mean save the password so it functions automatically? If it's just so it is there for reference, I would add it to a  contact under your name.

I have my phone number under 'me' Joy

    Cheers

  • Evening all
