Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Well done. Please have these ... they are waterproof
Cheers
Not too bad thanks Gill. Quiet afternoon as chemo and cell infusion done. Ended up having a nap, crocheting and listening to Amazon Audible.
Not symptoms yet but it's early days. It will be next week. Not nice to know you're going to be ill. Usually, we just wake up feeling unwell and get on with it!
Nurses encourage you to get up, into day clothes, sit on the chair, not the bed. Been on the exercise bike too. Must try and walk a bit tomorrow afternoon but there's only a short corridor so no where to go!!
Yes, I have an ensuite, new towels and sheets every day and my floor is bleached! It's difficult to regulate the temperature and sometimes it floods so not quite 5 star!!
Still, another day down so can't complain. OH and daughter came this eve which lifted my spirits!! Hope you're ok xxx
Silly billy
Did you know that Green Shield stamps eventually became Argos?
An aunt used to say that babies came from the Green Shield catalogue. Her son asked her, three days after the arrival of his younger sister, 'Can we send her back now?'
Cheers
Awe phoooey! Already! Some of the posts I have just done aren't here or they have inserted earlier in thread!
I have had another communiqué, from a Community Manager telling me the Tech Bod will be in touch directly. I am making a list of the glitches folk have mentioned.
Now see, if I was technical, I could copy that list from earlier in the thread and post it here. Not going to happen
Cheers
Thanks so much for replying Julie, as I was worried I might have disturbed you.
Aye hon, it must seem strange knowing you're going to feel unwell but forewarned is forearmed and, hopefully, the nurses will be on hand with meds to see you through the worst. I'm hoping things might be better than expected. Fingers crossed.
That's good that everything's spick and span but you watch - you'll get the hang of the shower just before discharge! OH was in a biggish side ward with ensuite but the shower wasn't really practical, even though it was a wet room with plenty of grabs. He was pre-op then but his tracheostomy meant lots of paraphernalia around his neck and the stand with all the drips and meds had to be carted into the shower with him. I got as wet as he did, trying to avoid all the rigmarole.
Aw I'm glad you enjoyed the visit from OH and daughter, but here's a tip hon - even if you feel dog rough try your best to smile when they come to see you as going home, after visiting a loved one, is a lonely place if they've looked sad. I hope I haven't depressed you now xx
About getting round the hospital when there isn't many places to walk... I'll give you some tips how to get round that and make it a bit more interesting, but that can wait till tomorrow, as you might be feeling sleepy.
Anyway sweetheart, you take care and let the nurses take care of you. Here, Shimmers brought some more hugs and love hon, and hope you get some good sleep xxx
Hello
I will persevere.Yep went to wellness cafe this morning after waving off the contentious scooter first. It made it to Parky pal's
At the cafe, arty pal had fab news She has been awarded lottery funding WAHOO! She is such a powerhouse and does so much for free. This will mean she can plan her services (like art therapy) in blocks.
I ran out of oomph so didn't go to the afternoon jewelry whatsit but tea time me, Stressy and Party in a box pal went to play pool. Yes, they are open again despite being next door to the fire
Boo hiss! About your flat but upwards and onwards
Cheers
Oooh sorry ssshhh if it's lights out but well done. Are you allowed this?
Glad another day is d off
N️yt
Back again
Well done arty pal! I like powerhouses and their driving force. A can do attitude does it for me.
Aw I know, boo and hiss but I did expect it so forgotten now and eager to see what pops up on my feed next but they'd better hurry up! I doubt folks will be thinking about moving on so near Christmas. Shucks.
Did you find out if everyone was ok after the fire? xxx
There is a decided lack of official news but the local talk is of a petrol bomb
Apparently, before the street level boards were applied you could see into the 'pub' and it was in a right state.
Ah but not keen to move as Christmas approaches may mean less competition for owt that does come up!
Cheers
Ah, now that thought has given me a lift as Christmas is just another day to me since OH first got ill. I'll be in like Flynn if summat comes up! Cheers!
A fire bomb? Oh crikey, that sounds like shifty characters could have been in the HMO and incurred the wrath of lunatics. You'll have to let us know if you get more info before l let my imagination run riot!
So is that the end of scootergate hon? It's a shame if it is cos it'd turned into a soap of much amusement xxx
