Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • It'll keep coming Daisy, no doubt about it. I'm hoping you've got someone close to support you over the weekend sweetheart. Monday will soon come round, so focus on that and try not to dwell.

  • Lots of heartfelt hugs from members already Sonia. Have some from me as well. If you have nowhere to put them, try to exchange them for Muller Corners, although you may have more luck with Green Shield Stamps. I used to find sheets of those in the car years after they stopped doing them. Anyway, well done to calmly facing the 4 weeks then completing the course successfully, together with all the travelling. The bell at our radiotherapy reception was small. I'd have preferred a gong and hammer. I did not know what it was before the receptionist said "Fabulous, Well done! Give the bell a tinkle on the way out."  I'm a Urology patient and thought Nah. Bell's too high - what a strange custom Grinning.   xxx

  • Great news Daisy, and really good that Mum will do the honours with the driving. Mums know best, and Dads of courseThumbsup

Allow them to spoil you a little over the weekend and you take things easy sweetheart. I recommend plenty of soothing cuppas and maybe a walk if the weather's going to be kind. Wrap up warm though as autumn chills are meant to be on the way.

More hugs Hugging HuggingHugging you'll be getting swamped at this rate hon xxx
