Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Well - my office is one of the upstairs bedrooms - my house is dormer style, so 'bigger' downstairs. All bedrooms are en suite and the office contains two desks, two PCs, a laptop, a large printer, stationery cupboard, shredder, and power bank so I have time to close everything down and start up the generator if there is a power cut. So not much room for anything else! Maybe a kettle, but a lot easier to take cold drinks.
I used to be musical - I have a Scottish 'higher' (secondary school final exams) grade A in music and played semi-professionally in my youth.
Now, I have a favourite radio station and am stuck on the 1980s/1990s popular releases. Don't like a lot of the modern stuff, breathy females begging coercive partners for forgiveness it seems. Thers an Irish band topping the charts which I cannot stand and turn the radio off if I hear the awful gratng voice, annoying tune and terrible lyrics. It is on a LOT!
Evening Gill
Y️our home sounds on the big side Ours isn't but I'm trying to downsize even more.
I've entered a competition where the prize is a motorhome and a big wad of cash. As neither of us drive I'd ask for a cash alternative to the MH and buy a small house instead.
It's all pie in the sky as my chances of winning are zero anyway
Good luck with that! You never know, you might win!
I spend a big proportion of my time at home so it is my whole world most days, and my sanctuary. I also have a lot of clutter - the more room I have, the more I spread out!
I hoped to add a pic but nothing happens when I hit the picture icon.
Thanks hon, but I already know I won't win. Luck doesn't feature too highly with us.
I know what you mean about clutter but I'm trying to be ruthless rather than sentimental so things have to go... reluctantly. I'll cry at a later date.
Ooh, your comment about the Irish band piqued my interest. I'm the same about Bruce Springsteen!!!! I cannot stand his voice and if he comes on the radio or telly, off he's zapped! Cue complaints from BS fans but his affect on me is over the top.
I've got Now 80s on as ambient background noise, but if Bruce appears his noise will be immediately silenced!
Shimmers might have gone for an early night xxx
This is the offending band. Can't even spell their own name.
Good work with the dishwasher
So, I had a quick look at your favourite band's profile on the wiki link.
Missing the 'e' out of their moniker was likely their attempt at being edgy - I found it irritating and already dislike them on that foundation alone.
I'll have to listen to their offerings now if only to hear their grating singing
