Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I get free delivery from Tesco via their app, and it works very well most of the time. Being neurodivergent I find visits to large supermarkets overwhelming and I am on my own. It's also a half-hour drive into the main town to get to Tesco (or Lidl or Aldi)
For the last four weeks I have spent over €100 per week to secure their special offer of 5,000 Clubcard points (€50) and was rewarded with that today.
My freezer is now jammed packed, cupbards full of tins and packets with long expiry dates, and enough kitchen roll, toilet rolls and toiletries to last until the new year.
All I need to buy for a while is fresh food and milk, which I buy locally from small shops where I know everyone.
Hi, another warm welcome back from me too.
Great news about your remission. Sorry you have had difficult times apart from your health issues.
How are things now? Do you have support?
The forum is a bit clunky right now, so it might seem like people are not responding to your posts but at times it is slow, stuff disappears or pops up out of order.
Glad you are back to share your good news
Cheers
I would love to know where posts go after we press reply. Sometimes they show up after a while, bizarrely sometimes the next day and sometimes they just go pooft! and are gone. Glad my replies re
️ are getting through eventually!
How has today been?
Cheers
Not too bad thanks Shims.
Got my second batch of stem cells. Went ok. Just suffering a bit from water retention at the moment (not bad enough to treat as my potassium is a bit borderline and water retention meds would make it lower). Bit of high blood pressure due to steroids too but hopefully I just have another day or 2 on steroids.
Feel exhausted but can't nod off!!
I wonder how long it takes the tech department here to process glitch reports and then attempt an investigation?
It would be helpful if they tried using the site at night, accessing a busy interactive thread such as this via a smartphone.
There was probably a time when your office not being next to your bed was a good thing. Now being next to your pc, the kettle, your snacks, loo and bed would be the dream
Cheers
Not much sleep last night, and I've been active all day, but dropped off a couple of hours ago so I am now wide awake.
I have a massive pile of ironing so I might tackle that. It's going to be a long night again so I might as well do something useful. Nothing planned for tomorrow, except work - I only managed 1.5 hours today, so need to catch up.
I expect I will be on here again at some point.
I think we are all curious to know if your stem cells are like little minions ( or for those of a certain age 'the Numbskulls') and once they enter your body, do they each have a chitty detailing where they need to get to and who to report to on arrival for their work details?
Oh I completely understand the exhaustion but no sleep scenario... and the superhelpful and earth shattering advice to 'get an early night!'
Have they put the lights out yet?
Cheers
Do you do music?
Welcome to the Irn-Blu's ... tunes to steam away to.
Cheers
Evening Helen, if you're still up
Yes, I'd thought about that but here come the buts.
Deliveries to our house are unpredictable and hit and miss, far too many misses.
I'm extremely choosy about meat and don't adhere to Jack Spratt's preference, I like his wife's style better but a picker wouldn't know that.
I wouldn't enjoy an alternative to something out of stock.
My eldest has a weekly Morrisons delivery but has sometimes complained about sell by dates being near the knuckle. I always reach to the back of shelves where the newest items are kept. The pickers are instructed not to do that.
I'll stick it out H, and the grumbling, but our hoped for move will mean Tesco's is almost on the doorstep and I won't have as far to carry the goods. Many thanks for your suggestion hon, but I'll pass until I'm too decrepit to still do it xxx
