Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I use my PC during the day when I am in my office for a few hours. The big advantage is the bigger keyboard, for my fat fingers, and a relatively big screen for my tired eyes! It seems to work better and is more stable. But my office is upstairs, I sleep downstairs, so it's back to the phone.
Thanks so much kez. I am looking forward to a rest. Hats off to Stephen my son for getting me to the hospital every day for 4 weeks. He has never moaned even though the traffic has been horrendous. Hope you are well sweetie. Sending hugs and best wishes.xxx
Welcome back Leocat!
Long time no hear but you've brought some excellent news along with you about your continued remission. Brilliant!
I'm unsure if I've got this right as I'm older now and probably lost a few million brain cells since, but did you have a place in Spain or something? Ignore that if completely wrong.
Anyway hon, keep moving forward in the positive way you're going and next April will be something special to celebrate!
Hugs to wherever in the world you are xxx
Who me?
Wouldn't dream of it Sometimes a warm, soft blanket of predictable saccharin that doesn't trouble our cerebellum is exactly what we need.
Cheers
It can be difficult to judge whether someone genuinely has forgotten, had trouble processing or can't retrieve the info in question.
It doesn't make it much easier to be on the receiving end of their unreasonable behaviour... which of course to them may be perfectly justifiable indignation or anger etc
One of my pal's with autism, Stressy, had been supporting another elderly pal with hearing difficulties on his cancer journey, getting notification of appointments, accompanying etc. Our pal also has the beginnings of cognitive decline resulting in memory issues.
Unfortunately, Stressy combusted the other day and has no contact with pal now. Realistically, pal hadn't done anything to deliberately annoy although his needs could be very frustrating.
Good luck with 'dad'.
Cheers

Evening Shimmers
A mini disaster in the kitchen earlier involving microwave and veg soup !
An impromptu clear up ensued. If you're still around later I'll be back to wage war against the hamsters, who've already launched 2 attacks this evening.
Watch a Christmas film to while away the time xxx
Evening Amanda
Probably not an early night hon, unless I doze off around 11.45 but I can't see that happening
Good lad Glyn, getting the shopping out of the way early which is the best way if you can do that, but I don't enjoy shopping any more as it's become a chore, what with traipsing about and heavy bags. I'm seriously considering buying one of those tartan trolleys that are pulled along from behind with a handle. Don't laugh
Ooh you must be excited about going back to work as that means you can return to a much more normal way of life. Well done on getting this far and you'll be able to join in with festive fun on the run-up to Christmas. With occupational health's nod, of course. After OH's stroke he eased back in on a phased return which was really good, as were his bosses.
Well lovely, hoping Archie doesn't put in a repeat performance of screaming the house down tonight, and then you'll be able to have a lush early one.
Chat soon and sweet dreams for later on hon xxx
Good luck with 'dad'.
All is OK now. He really had forgotten about it and thought I'd not been well so I left it like that.
