Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Morning Gill
It absolutely lashed it down here an hour ago with gusts of crazy wind! Not sure where that cam
It came from Lancashire because we had it earlier and the clouds were heading over the hill!
I really regret never having learned how to drive
We have a Lidl in the village, I can drive but have a bus pass and there's about 8 buses an hour during the day. Lidl's apple turnovers are my downfall!
Kind regards - Brian.

Morning Brian ️
Thanks for the blast of weather - I really enjoyed it!
I sometimes feel we live in the back of beyond. Although we're surrounded by big cities we don't enjoy many facilities that others apparently do, and I'm so sick of traveling that we tend to get most of our shopping locally. It's as boring as owt! Lol!
Never mind eh, Brian, as I firmly believe we're destined for an upturn - I just wish it would get a move on!
Have a fine day champ xxx
Morning Shimmers
Just attempting to answer some posts before OH gets up. ✓
Your awol post is now here so I can reply...
'Oh flip, what an awful palaver, you having to referee an almost fight between Weed and Barn Door with meltdown to follow.
It really is a wonder Stressy has any mates left and if it wasn't for you I doubt he would!
All's well that ended well re. Parky's bungalow but boy, is he gonna miss his car. If he's anything like us it'll feel like he's lost an essential limb! He has my sincerest sympathy if that goes down.'
Righto Shims, I've got loads to do so I'd better knuckle down and get on with it. Hoping your day goes smoothly, hon xxx
Over here Lidl, Tesco and Aldi are only in the main (county) town, a 25 minute drive away. There are around 3 buses a day although I rarely see one, it's a mile to the main road up a hill and few designated bus stops so a car is essential. There is an Irish supermarket chain and a local food and housewares store 10 minutes away, but I don't like the first one (I had a public telling off from a supervisor once, because I 'dared' to pick up a bottle of wine for a gift and when it came to the checkout it was rejected, as it was out of hours. Legally, they should have had a notice up and a barrier to that section, but they didn't.) The local 'sells everything' store is a lot better, no alcohol licence but that's fine as I don't drink it, but it is quite expensive unless they have offers on. Essential for bread and milk though.
Luckily, Tesco's deliver free of charge for over 65s which is not ideal as items are suddenly unavailable on the day and their milk is too short-dated (I only have a delivery every 8-10 days), but it saves me diesel I can no longer afford.
It absolutely lashed it down here an hour ago with gusts of crazy wind!
It was the same here shortly before it came to you, sunshine turned to near darkness, lashing rain and a howling gale for a short time before it got blown across the Irish sea to the UK mainland!
Afternoon Gill
Just taking a breather and a coffee between chores
Hey, I adore extreme weather but only the wild variety, as anyone here will attest I'm no sun worshipper! Summer, for me, is a nightmare but the excitment's building now it's autumn and winter's on the way. Yeehaaaa! Let the good times roll.
It's doubtful others will share my euphoria but how about yourself? Does winter bring big problems with you being in an isolated spot?
There goes my nosiness again, so I'll quit while I'm ahead. I wish I could say the same about these flipping chores but I'm miles behind, so back to it.
The card? Yes? Take it easy hon xxx
The major problem here in the winter is high winds bringing trees and branches down, as the fibre broadband, electricity and telephone lines sre all above ground so are easily snapped or brought down. The poles are all rotten. I have a backup modem and a generator so all is not lost though.
Afternoon Kez
The hamsters are out in force today - duplicated posts, out of order and god knows what else. Hey ho
Oh yes, the MiL. The problem remains - she didn't darken our door yesterday so that means she'll turn up on spec when we least expect it, leaving me in a state of high anxiety and simmering resentment! I can only hope it happens when I'm upstairs and can leave her to OH. He'll most likely get in the same state as she has that capability, aka the medusa touch!
Well it's pretty warm here Kez, and the sun's out but I'm boiling alive! That could be down to all the graft I'm putting in and by heck I'm feeling my age.
Hoping you're having a much more sedate time hon - I'll get these creaking joints back to it! xxx
