Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • I had a red ERROR warning in the top right of my screen. It coincided with ignoring my typing. A refresh page enabled normal service and the partly written post reappeared when I had found the post I was replying to and pressed reply again. No robot questions this evening. I'm going to bed soon, so it's goodnight from me as well.  xxx

  • Well posts are out of order and some are repeated and some appearing at random. Except my MIA of course.

Hope you sleep when you settle, sweet dreams, nyt

  •   site shenanigans mean I am unsure if you have said nyt so saying it now.

Hope you sort your light out and manage to doze. Sweet dreams, nyt

  • How uncanny, exactly 6 months apart.

Being a summer baby I hate the cold, made even worse now due to the side effects from my cancer treatment.

I'm very lucky to be able to spend a lot of time abroad where it's warm.

Despite the glare of the overhead light I fell asleep without warning and have just woken up, at 4.30. Everyone has gone it seems and my camping light is now fully charged so I will turn that on and switch off the main light and try to get back to sleep.

A belated goodnight to anyone still awake.

Same here. No street lights out here in the countryside. But the idea of low-level lighting is also a re-creation of when I was a child and after I was put to bed the landling light was left on until my parents came upstairs to bed, by which time I was asleep. With no dogs here currently I find it oddly comforting.

  • Hi oh nice my daughter always enjoys that. I buy the one either from iceland or lidls.

Hope you are ok. Nice ti be able to get back on the sitexxx

  • Morning Amanda Relaxed️

It absolutely lashed it down here an hour ago with gusts of crazy wind! Not sure where that came from but looks like the sun's attempting to struggle out now. Is Cardiff getting bonkers weather too hon?

Talking of bargain supermarkets we have none in our town, except Home Bargains, so we have to travel to reach Aldi, Lidl and others of their ilk so don't often go. I'm a bit envious when I hear of you guys buying tasty treats.

I really regret never having learned how to drive SobSweat smile

No matter, I've got a wealth of cleaning experience and will need to put that to the test and get cracking with decluttering. Definitely not looking forward to that!

Hoping your day goes smoothly my lovely, and I'll reply to a couple of posts before diving into the nitty gritty. Big cwtches xxx

It's a similar story here about lights. We live off the main road so no streetlights at all, leaving us in pitch darkness once the sun drops, hence my rechargeable. I also use it for OH's care so I can see what I'm doing on the late shift. My eldest bought it for me a few years ago and it's been an absolute boon.

Don't forget the Thank You card for the hospital staff! Have the best day you can, hon xxx

I not only had the usual 'prove you are human' pop up, but a new message suggesting I was in danger, with suggested actions. I cannot imagine what triggered that!
