Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

hopefully you'll feel better as the day goes on.
Thanks, I am feeling a lot better now, I've had some toast and a couple of cuppas, and Alan went and got me some nice soup for later.
No plans to move house. We did think of selling up to travel but it's a good job we didn't as we'd only had one trip when the big C hit.

Well - so much for completing and filing my online tax return today, as the deadline is approaching. I updated it, found the bill had gone up compared to my calculations, as I had forgotten to enter something. Now I can't find anywhere sensible on the form to enter it. Then, I wanted to take an option where a default normally applies but the option is better (and cheaper) in my case. Again, can't find anywhere to claim it. Argh!! The joys of the Irish tax system. Would you believe, I was a qualified accountant for over 25 years but that was in the UK. And 20 years ago.
Two enquiries gone to Revenue as Google can't help.
Time to give up for the day and settle for the evening with a pot of tea and some good biscuits now my mouth is less sore.
Hellooo folks.. Apologies for disappearing last 'night' but I suddenly crashed.
Have caught up with the chat but am about to make tea so back a bit later.
Cheers
Afternoon Gill ️
Aw don't you just detest on-line anything because I do. You've made the wiser choice of downing tools for the day and concentrating on tea and biscuits. Good move
I'd also had enough of sorting through cupboards and made a Sunday dinner instead, which we've just devoured. My sorting and rooting can wait till tomorrow too. Fed up with it.
Well I'm in charge of all bills and finance in our house but wouldn't have the first ciue how to tackle a tax return, so thank goodness that's not in the offing. However, should the need ever crop up for an accountant's advice we'll all know where to come!
Enjoy your biscuits hon and I'm off to do the washing up. Damn! xxx
Most of my life is spent online, including my business (or what is left of it this year) so that's fine. You are doing very well online here! Sorting and rooting? Tomorrow is definitely another day.
I have to get up early tomorrow, and drive to the nearest hospital to get blood taken and tested ready for my chemo on Wednesday. Then I have to ring the local pharmacy to ask them to order a certain 'high-tech' injectable, which they are not allowed to keep in stock, and which I have to take soon after the chemo. Tuesday I have to take my PC into town to have it fixed, Wednesday is chemo day, Thursday is pick up my prescriptions day ... then the rest of the week is my own!
