Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Evening Steve
No luck with the Union then hon?
Sorry love, I've got no idea in these matters but maybe Citizens Advice would be worth a call?
You could also type a condensed question into Google and see what AI throws up. It might lead you down rabbit holes but you never know unless you give it a try.
Good luck chief xxx
Thanks Gill H for the last 2 months I've been trying to find out things but the the worst thing is when i got sacked on ill health my union who work in the same place said they would help me to get a good deal with the company but after the meeting with them and the manager so a few days later i spoke to them and they said they can not do anything now because you were sacked
A robin occasionally visits my garden, but have not seen him today. The squirrel was busily searching the lawn under the hawthorn tree this afternoon. I bet he's forgotten where he's buried his nuts. I know that greys are not loved as much as reds, but he is a delightful little chap. xxx
Steve, if they sacked you because you were off on serious health grounds then I don't think that's right, so surely something can be done? Have you been offered nothing at all hon?
What I'd do is gather together all letters, papers, anything to do with your cancer over the weekend, and first thing Monday get the number for Citizens Advice. Tell them everything that's happened and see what they advise.
As I've already said though, I'm not au fait with what's happened in your case but maybe somebody here will have better ideas. Hope so hon xxx
Aw we love squirrels too, but, and this is the second time this has happened, a smallish squirrel almost made me have a fit on Tuesday! I was gawping at my phone when I heard a loud rattling noise and saw the squirrel hanging upside down and scratching furiously at the top window. He must have had his back claws hooked to the frame.
Before I got my brain in gear and realised what he was, I thought, for a split second, that he was a giant spider!
Now you'd have loved that xxx
Speaking of spiders, last night as I laboured up the stairs I met a medium sized spider carefully making his way down. He was hugging the side which I don't need. I watched the process for a couple of steps before we both carried on. My son visited yesterday and mentioned that he'd hoovered up a very large spider the evening before. It apparently clattered down the tube then proceeded to make scratching noises when the cleaner was turned off. My son then pinched one of my vacuum cleaner bags so that the noisy one could be binned. We both have the same Argos suction machines i.e. the cheapest .
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
