Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

The neb's one of those things that doesn't look much but gets quite heavy when carrying it around, as I found out when we went to Redcar last month. It's on permanent loan from LGI as it's for life.

The best thing is that OH's down to 2 or 3 neb sessions per day. When he was discharged it was 6 but his lungs have settled and more used to the changes, but that took a good 18 months.

Owt happening with the merry misfits today or have they gone quiet? Zipper mouth xxx

  • Evening all

It's lashing down here and it sounds loud in the motorhome. I ate too much for tea so I'm sitting up for a bit longer in the hopes I won't get indigestion or worse!

  • I'm so envious it's untrue! My favourite thing ever is being in a caravan when it's bouncing down. Never been in a motorhome

Helen, I ate so much for supper and feel really bloated. Not great when I've to finish off TLC.

Hope you don't get ropey guts tonight hon Pray xxx

  • Oooh I was in the awning at my sister's caravan while they were all tucked up inside and it absolutely hosed down. I loved it as I had an absolutely huge and thick duvet under and over me. The many ducks on the pond got cheesed off after a couple of hours and told the universe so! Joy

Doh pesky innards ... I had that problem the other night and it took hours to process but I had definitely pushed my limits!!

    Hope you perk up soon

  • Didn't get to update you yesterday. So ... Stressy is wanting the world to sympathise and why wouldn't they with his version of life. On combustion day, Scoots bro n partner were full of they would have to come, can't do treatment in his own, they would stay at his.

I never believed that would be simple, happen or even be wise.

So Wednesday, me n Stressy go to pal's arty session at cafe and she doesn't indulge his grief Thumbsup followed by shopping then racing back to Stressy's as Parky pal due

At Stressy's Parky pal already there,.let himself in over an before hand as had arrived early having been to vets.

Well an unexpected change always goes down well with Stressy

  • Grrrrr! My post re caravan is in at least 3 places and ... breeeeath.

So Stressy grumping etc about shopping etc but cooking tea commenced and the actual owner of contentious scooter arrives and we all begin to eat when Scoots rings me to say he is back home from visiting the care home.

Tea continues. Scoots rings again to ask me to take all his appointment letters when I go for scooter as his bro n partner are there. Stressy says NO! Bro has to come get them!

  • Siiiiiiiiigh! So me n Parky who can barely walk shuffle round to Scoots slowly, it is freezing! There I reckon the bro had just arrived that teatime but said he would walk back with me for letters.

Scooter wrestled out to lane, Parky sits in it but had never driven it before. Stressy has said to go up that lane, but it is pointing down.

The bro doesn't know how to get to Stressy's so I am waiting ...and waiting... I could understand his reluctance and then partner said she coming too!!! Meanwhile Parky had set off down lane...
