Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Had a letter from the hospital saying that my TULA procedure appointment has been rescheduled for two days later and a different specialist will be in the driving seat. No probs because it's still about 6 weeks away.

The site looked different when I logged in today. Any improvement noticed by smartphone users? xxx

  • Hello. Looked different? How? Site functionality is a nightmare on mobile devices and I suspect other devices  too.

How are you feeling in yourself?

    Cheers

  • Actually before I fashion an email to Liz, is there a report button or somewhere to report glitches? I think it would be helpful if these were collated and attributed to device type.

I feel it's dreadful to say there is out of hours support from the community only for some of those reaching out to find they cant access it or those trying to respond can't stay or find a way to get back in or respond in a timely manner.

    Thanks

  • Afternoon Shimmers. My home page is the bladder forum. They have changed the format, making it look a bit tidier. Once into viewing actual posts rather than summaries, it looks the same as it has been during my 2 or 3 years on here. I do not have quite as many problems with the site as smartphone users, just glitchy stuff like kicking me back to page one for no apparent reason and no coordination between notifications and actually seeing posts (which sometimes never arrive!).

I'm ok thanks. Had a Starbucks Americano and a bacon roll at their drive thru earlier today. Probably the highlight of my week Grinning. I trust that you are also finding ways to survive life, the universe and everything (except for dentistry?).  xxx

  • Hello

Now I use a laptop, a desktop and an I-phone and never have any issues with logging on, posts "going missing" or not being posted.

I suggest that you list your issues, the devices you are having issues with and what the issues are and stick them on an e-mail to

    community@macmillan.org.uk

That will find it's way to our IT department.

The Community IS there 24 hours a day - and we do try and respond to any unanswered posts as quickly as possible. IF people are having issues accessing the Community or issues with posting then we need to know what the issues are so we can address them.

    Kind regards - Brian.

  • Hello sir. Boy oh boy do we dark hours posters have issues.

Rather than everyone having a winj seperately, I thought maybe a common issues list would be more useful.

How are you doing? What have you been up to?

    Cheers

  • Ooh you know how to live high on the hog Joy

Well bit of a pants week, big combustion between Stressy n Scooterless, grief from my plantar fascitis etc and learned the response to my referral to dental clinic is that I don't meet referral criteria. Plotting next move.

Got to craft today, took some Halloween chocs I quickly moulded last night and actually did a bit of crochet.

Tonight been out for Indian food and couple games of pool.

    Cheers

My day pales into insignificance compared to yours. Oh, I ate a Mars Bar, haven't had one of those for a few months.

After I'd read Ray's post about format changes I looked on Head and Neck and it's a bit different. It's not a sub forum so maybe that's why?

You should have taken a pic of the Halloween chocs for our delectation and delight YumYum xxx

  • Helloooo! Don't worry, they're really quick and I got plenty choc so more are on the agenda. Actually I usually do colours and flavours and fillings and sparkly dust n stuff but these are just chocYum

Are Mars bars what they used to be? I mean I know they are MUCH smaller ...

I used to enjoy original Milkyways but lots of things ain't what they used to be Joy

    Update on flatwatch please

    Cheers

  • Well flatwatch is a bit doomwatch at the mo as all today's alerts haven't been up to scratch, but I need to put the brakes on slightly as the list for things to get done here is long. Not that that will throw me as the second one I like comes up I'll pounce!

Mars Bars are nowt like those in days of yore and the chocolate casing is very thin! Rage

Anyroad, nearly time for Mr Happy's TLC but I'll be back ack ack ack...

If you nod off hon, don't attempt to rouse yourself xxx
