Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Most likely but we're both so used to it after all this time they're soon forgotten. I don't make a song and dance and he doesn't get stressed out. It's all about coping and accepting it's a very long-term thing xxx
How on earth do you decide if something is risky or serious?
Apologies for delay in response
Cheers
No probs. Do you mean a life threatening situation?
At the end of Scoots street is a shop that among other things takes used mobility scooters. Stressy tried to flog them the one Scoots borrowed but they didn't have space n weren't offering much. The repairer today said that model used, best sold online.
My suggestion was find out what street shop offer now n offer scooter to Scoots for that price n if not want, give it to shop. No!
Ok then get it back to owner n let their yoof flog it.
Seems now Stressy going to use it while his gets serviced! He barely fits inside the cage!!
Cheers
Yeah, with OH? How do you know if it's something you can sort or not?
Is it safe for him to be alone? I am trying to build a picture.
Cheers
Oh crikey. I know spectrum peeps are wired differently but Stressy's obstinacy is off the scale! I've got visions of him trying to shoehorn himself into it
There's a lot of different establishments crammed into the end of the street - is there a supermarket as well? xxx
Good evening Gill. It took me so long to reach the door when my curtains and cushions were delivered that I only just caught the driver. Fortunately, he had used common sense and dropped the fully bagged items behind my back gate. He apologised for doing so when he saw me doing my impression of an unfit 90year old. I had a look at the cushions and was relieved to see that the colour was exactly the same as shown on-line. I'm happy with the match. The eyelet curtains can't be hung until my daughter visits next week. The pole is too long for me to safely try but the colour (same as cushions) will match the new carpet nicely. The carpet is a mid teal green and the curtains/cushions are a light spearmint. I've gone for calming colours rather than the vibrant look that I enjoyed in earlier houses. One thing I do need to do is to change the LED bulbs in the front room to daylight colour. The current 'warm' light LEDs make anything with slightly red tones stand out very strongly, highlighting my often rosé tube and bag making it look a lot worse than it actually is. It's been another pink day today.
Hello to anyone else who is looking in or has visited earlier. Well done Sonia for ploughing through the radiotherapy. Just Friday and next week then into the home straight, hopefully time to relax for a while will follow.
I hope Julie is weathering her stem cell treatment with reserves of courage.
Best wishes to all who are undergoing treatment, caring for others or seeking friendly support on here. Ray xxx
I'll reply to your dealing with OH and his health. I'll try to be swift but keep getting thwarted with glitches xxx
Yay. Glad the swishing up of your abode is going to your plan and standards.
No news on your appointment yet?
Cheers
Thanks. After years of tolerating worn out carpets they had to be replaced. That made soft furnishings look a bit dowdy, hence the new sofa, armchair, curtains and cushions and newly decorated front room, dining room, hallway and landing. Now the kitchen is looking even worse. I'm ignoring it at the moment.
Appointments: Urology review was last Thursday. This has resulted in a TULA appointment on 16th November which may help with my blood leakage.
Regarding mobility scooters: Old ones like mine, Class 2, fully working and in reasonable condition for a mid 1980s model are only worth £100-£200 sold privately. Dealers won't touch anything that old. More recent scooters of the same pavement class have huge price variation depending on age, brand, condition and need to be fully working with decent battery life remaining. Dealers will only offer up to 50% of their eventual showroom price tag unless in exceptional condition or to tempt you to buy a new or newer one from them. Why has the one you mentioned got a cage? xxx
