Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Ah that's good Mel. Sarah came to the rescue so any problems negotiating the site can be helped if you send her a post. Don't ever feel like you're being a nuisance as that's why we're here; to support and help you hon. xxx
Hi Mel, and a belated warm welcome from me, though I'm so sorry to hear about your granddaughter, I've been through quite a lot lately with family and myself, but can't imagine how difficult it is for you when it's one of the little ones.
My friend, I have a few years in healthcare, cancer care behind me, and your nurses and doctors really want to be told everything, so any concerns, pains, or thoughts you have, no matter how small or irrelevant they may seem to you, may not be to them, so please tell them everything as the more they know the better.

Poor little thing. I hope they are proceeding quickly with her.

Hi guys, the cheesecake recipes for diabetics, they are not ours, but can be found on Gestationaldiabetesuk/cheesecake we find the vanilla one most popular.
Lurpak unsalted, being grass fed is a good "healthier", option, and sugar free digestives or Nairns oatcakes for the base.
This is also a no bake cheesecake, only needing to melt the butter

I started commenting on here about my beautiful granddaughter.. but I actually would like to join the head and neck cancer group... I think I couldn't cope with how fast the messages are going lol everyone is faster than me xxx
Kind regards
Mel
Hey Mel. I meant to ask if you'd previously been a member of H&N when you got your own diagnosis. I post there also, as my OH had laryngeal cancer. But please carry on posting here, especially if you have sleepless nights. This thread does move fast, but don't let it put you off and the members are so kind and supportive.
Sending hugs xxx
My own diagnosis was in july 2022, I have not processed it yet either and now this
Oh crikey love. I just hope this awful time you're all going through swiftly gets resolved, and allows you to move forward to better times. Take good care and I'll be thinking of you.
Hugs and strength xxx
Hi Mel, I too was diagnosed in July 2022, and now have poor concentration and a terrible memory, so understand the frazzled brain analogy, so please don't think you have to read and reply to every post, it would be near impossible at times, I drift in and out through the day, some days I don't post and occasionally just take a step back for a few days, it can become consuming, but as Gilly has said, this is a lovely little thread with some truly kind and supportive souls who really care for each other.
