Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

You've been to many lovely places during your touring holiday. I hope the remaining week is every bit as enjoyable (with a more settled stomach would be nice). Lucky that the tooth is not hurting.
I have no strong ties to Liverpool and have only been near it, not in or through it. I did have a Great Aunt who lived in Birkenhead but only met her twice when she was visiting the same relatives as us in Nottingham and Scarborough. Also, my 1961 Reliant Regal which I mentioned a couple of months ago was purchased by its first owner from Argyll Street Motors in Birkenhead, the same dealers that Ken Dodd bought his Reliant sports car from back in the day. Pity the garage has long gone. It would have been nice to drive my Reliant back there for a photo. I must try to drive it a bit before Winter sets in. xxx
Afternoon Helen
It's hard to believe you've already been away for 3 weeks - really? How time flies so make sure you wring everything out of number 4 and enjoy it all, especially as there's parent sitting on the horizon.
Greggs cheaper coffee prices duly noted and thanks for the tip off - as long as there's froth cos that's the best bit!
Please squeeze a couple more photos in before you're homeward bound if poss xxx
Afternoon Ray
Talking of old jalopies we'd been shopping at a Morrisons near Bradford, about 4 or 5 years ago.
I spotted a Ford Zephyr 4 parked up a few bays from our car and the passenger door of the Ford was open. My nostrils were assailed with a distinct, and very familiar, aroma of leather car interior.
Now the fact that the Zephyr was pale blue, and my dad's had been pale yellow, didn't put me off and I approached the owners, telling them about dad once owning the same model. I'm a very nosey person but they seemed happy to chat.
They told me they'd bought their car privately, in Bradford, and the colour on the log book was down as yellow.
I'm convinced it was my dad's old one and I hadn't seen it since the mid 60s. That's what I like to think anyway.
A bit of inspiration to get the Reliant back to its Birkenhead roots, Ray. Or is it too long a drive now? Maybe a run out to shake the cobwebs instead xxx
Hello Gill, Yellow was an uncommon colour for a Zephyr 4, so your instinct may well have been correct, especially as the car was originally registered in the same area as your dad's. Most owners of classic cars are happy to talk to interested passers by who show an interest. Be wary of any that respond too enthusiastically. I've had one chap respond by dashing to his boot to retrieve a photograph album. He then tried to hold my attention whilst giving me a very full description of each stage of restoration shown in the photos. I had to lever him out of the way so that I could escape after 20 minutes. As for driving the Reliant to Birkenhead, it would probably make it but I would be the weak link. Local drives are my main aim these days. xxx
Just a nice run out while it's still warm and sunny then Ray, to keep the Reliant ticking over. Back under cover for winter before too long
Don't worry, I won't get waylaid like you did with that bloke. I'll talk to anyone but can usually guage if I'm heading into a 'hostage' situation and beat a hasty retreat with plausible lies in my wake.
Well I don't know how you did with knocking to-dos off your list today hon, but I spent all morning catching up with those I couldn't do yesterday. And now I've the tea to get on!
It's a dog's life but I don't want any Good Boy chocolate drops coming at me xxx
Seriously? No posts here for hours? Or is it tech issues?
Good evening Shimmer
It's most likely tired issues hon. My eyes are like slits but I don't ignore posts if there's some life still simmering.
So, ok to ask how the screening went hon? And mastiff minding and craft club? xxx
Yawwwwn! Apologies fell asleep waiting for something to happen here.
I am ok but utterly wiped out so nyt to all hope we all get rest, peace and even sleep
Cheers
