Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Ah, I see. But blame the hamsters as they're in my room now.
Come here you little b*****!
I recently tried to get hold of a spec repair kit that contained a tiny screwdriver. Pound shop did them for years, contained lots of bits, but no more.
Boots opticians had a screwdriver for sale, no screws for about £15 !
Cheers
Whaaat! 15 quid? Scandalous!
Well after wandering around with a face like a slapped arse for most of the day you've cheered me up, so great work Shims.
Unfortunately the remnants of today's hayfever have left my eyes stickier than sticky the stick insect - Blackadder circa 198?, and I've just had a two pronged hamster attack, so it's an early morning for me hon.
Night night hon and hope I won't have not nice news to pass on tomorrow xxx
Hope you get some sleep and can unglue your eyes in the morn.
Will be up early here organising Stressy to get Scooterless to hospital for 7.45 am
Nyt
Good morning shimmering unicorn.
How are you hope you had a lovely weekend.
I did i have been trying to keep busy as i get my test results tomorrow. I am hoping everything is fine. Waiting for results have been such an anxious time.
Xxx
Morning Hun.
How are you getting results? Do you have a face to face appointment? Will anyone be with you?
Good luck
Cheers
Morning folks.
Well Stressy was woken at 5 so he could takes pills so he could get moving. They take a while to kick in. Scooterless arrived, sat for a few minutes, drinking from water bottle. 'Umm it's nothing to eat or drink after midnight' says me. 'Except water' says him. Err as he hasn't spoken to anyone about this but I did ... ?
Anyway Stressy arrived back from walking the dog and asked me if pal had his meds n stuff. I shrugged as I assumed he had passed pal's bag on way in.
Few minutes later Scooterless announced he was popping back home as thought he had left his bag in his yard!
They have actually gone ... I reckon to the wrong entrance but what do I know
Cheers
Morning Amanda ️
Very well done on getting through the scanxiety sweetheart, and the waiting is almost up as your results will be in tomorrow.
By the sounds of things Glyn has been fab by taking you out and Barry Island will have been lovely - I know that by gazing at photos of it the other week, so well done him too. What a guy!
Will you be getting the results over the phone or a visit to see your oncologist hon? Whichever it is, take plenty of time today and relax, eat and maybe watch soaps or a film to pass the time. I can't believe how quickly it seems to go and am forever a day or two behind these days. Unless that's down to advancing senility! Oh dear.
Anyway my lovely, wishing you the best day and a load of cwtches for you all xxx
Shimmer will be busy organising Stressy and Scooterless for hospital I imagine, so good luck coming their way too
Morning Shimmers
Crossed posts again between yourself and Amanda
Hoping the lads actually make it on time xxx
Well they set off in plenty of time as it's only minutes away ... so they are there somewhere!
The procedure is carried out in radiology but not sure if everyone is told to arrive at 8 and then just hang around til done and 'recovered'.
They have gone on scooters despite me saying pal may not be up to riding it back (it's a very short journey) I checked with hospital and they said no!
Stressy wants to be on his scooter because he believes he will be at hospital all day with pal and needs scooter for any possible short escapes.
How are your eyes? I am assuming you still have no news on your friend?
Cheers
