Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • So sorry Kezm In the earl stages of OHs treatment she slept alot and I felt like I was losing her

I understand how you feel. All my love to you beautiful lady

  • Oh I see. No because I literally only managed an open mouth peek, no tools involved. Even that was a ridiculous effort. It's a very physical reaction rather than me just saying no.

    Thanks

  • Evening Steve Grinning

If you enjoy your rugby half as much as my OH does, then you'll be a very happy chappy indeed.

I'm not into rugby myself and can't speak Welsh, but I will say this - Come on Pontypool!!!

Enjoy the game hon Rugby football Rugby footballRugby football xxx

  • Hellooooo. Who knows what got typed or what the Hamster put before, but the title of the Spanish 3 parter is Dos Tumbas (two graves). It's not a doc it's a drama but I reckon you'll enjoy. Don't read any blurb before hand, let it unfold.

    Evening by the way.

  • Evening Shimmer Wave

Right, I'll say Dos Tumbas into the remote and see what it comes up with, after OH has watched the football Rolling eyes No worries about blurb as I like to make my own mind up.

That documentary last night, that actually wasn't one as it was mainly talking heads talking over each other, was utter tripe. An hour of vampire time wasted Rage

I've got a hot date in the kitchen now so will skedaddle till later. Hope Stressy slept off his stupor last night Fingers crossed xxx

  • Hello to all you nice people hope you have a good day so i have been watching one of the best rugby team that played in the UK which is pontypool which was called the pontypool front row and there was Bishop and that was David Bishop one of the best scrom half in Wales when i went down pontypool park for a game a few years ago there was 2o thousand watching the game

  • Thank goodness for clove oil!! Not recommended by many in dental these days but... I gotta have something more than paracetamol.

No word that my referral was even received! You know sometimes time can seem strrrrretched... well Monday doesn't seem near right now and that's  the earliest I can start chasing or discover it's not happening.

I know of someone who had to have a lot of work done before a dental plan would accept her. Maybe need to talk to them as they needed knocking out and I believe they went to the hospital I did yesterday.

Of course they don't have the anaesthesia issues I do Thinking

    Cheers

  • Thanks, it was a positive for me but wasn't able to get actual treatment which I urgently need.

I think folk like me should be something that hospital works on. They could have a treatment room set up in which folk just desensitise, staff happy just to chat. Have folk around not phased by people having the eebie jeebies or passing out.

Then we could move through the classic photos to handle, then real objects and tools used.

I asked the student yesterday why he got into dentistry and he seemed really surprised. Maybe my tone was accusatory? Anyway he said whole family are medics, he had a friendly dentist as child, and he could use his hands and help people.

    I thought that was lovely.

    Cheers

  • Glad things have improved with your partner. Always difficult to know if blokes are just thoughtless, just speak their mind or afterwards say whatever is needed to save their skin!

I know this is a sweeping generalisation but most blokes think they are fabulous. (Yes I know some have genuine issues and struggles)

With blokes, we know that someone of generous proportions and a good wobble factor can sashay down the street in a saggy ill fitting track suit, it and them in desperate need of a good wash and brush up, who can still be utterly convinced that of course you want to jump their bones!

Think of the time and effort women v men put in to getting ready to go out ... a wash and pulling on a different t shirt is suffice for many men.

You have enough to adjust to for yourself right now, his ongoing training can take a pause Joy

    Cheers

  • Hi. Were you actually born in Wales?

My mother's dad was born near Merthyr.

He worked in England on building sites I believe and met my grandmother who had worked as a maid.

He was then a miner here.

My pal Stressy lives watching rugby on TV but he's a Yorkshire boy.

    Cheers
