Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I’m not surprised your mental health has taken a hit Jane. It’s a lot to cope with, but I really hope you’ll get a sale soon and be able to find somewhere else. You’ve had an exhausting few years nursing your mum and being ill yourself-you deserve to have good things happen for you now so that you can be settled in a new place that will suit you better.

Thanks Sarah,I know I’ll be ok once I’m settled.Moving somewhere new will be an adventure and I can join activities and hopefully make new friends.I’m sociable by nature even if it might not come across in my posts.I hope you are all ok in the heat ? I bought a new fan as I couldn’t find mine.I thought I lent it to my sister but she says if I did she has no idea where it is ! I’ve got to reset the cooker clock as there was a bang and we all lost power for about 15 minutes late last night.xx
Hiya, and a warm welcome from me, and your so right that there's a way that helps most of us find a way to some much needed sleep, but finding what works for each of us can be a minefield, that's so nice if you to share your experiences, and hopefully some of the guys can return the favour with a couple of snippets of advice to help you.
Eddie
Hi Gilly, is it warm enough for you , I got a surprise last minute invitation from the hospice, to help finish a little exhibition they've been working on, which was lovely to do, even though the reason was sad. I'm off to a village near Otley called Hawksworth to look at some arts and crafts materials somebody's selling
How are you and your LOH doing my friend, maybe a restful day due to the heat, or keeping up with the exercises, take care, both of you
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Hi Eddie. Confusion reigns supreme and I blame the weather. Neither of us likes this heat my friend - OH's face is puffed up like a balloon, despite my soothing massages, and I'm up to my neck with cleaning. Bonkers when it's 30° and then some, but it's got to be done. An exercise workout in itself.
Enough of my whining! Sounds like you've had a good day so far and let's hope the materials are what you're looking for. If you create another masterpiece, please share on here as it's smashing to see others' talents on view. The cross stitch photos from Annette and Helen were superb.
I wonder why that post disappeared - did we say something wrong? Who knows but I'm blaming the weather!
Love to you and Sheila, and little Poppy xxx
