Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Thanks Steve  and  for both going.

As you are aware I went to Joe's a couple of weeks ago - there's nothing wrong with a grown man crying - I did.

    Kind Regards - Brian.

  • Hi Steve, It was nice to meet you both as well, as for the tears my friend, it's how I recognised you, good old PCa.

  • Eddie, I recognised you from your profile picture, less the hat.  Nice to meet you in person.

Ulls would have been smiling down, draped in his Sunderland flag.

  • Hi Guys, Well I can picture that smile in fact that is something about William I will never forget. It was such a welcoming sincere smile that just came naturally but I’m sure with the flag draped over him there would also be a bit of gloating there too!! Why not, he waited long enough. Goodnight all! So glad you made it! Thanks.

    Love Annette x

  • Hi there Julie.

Sorry to hear that and it's totally understandable it's playing havoc with your sleep, one of the rotten side effects of stress.

You've come to the right place though, as lots of lovely people are here to give you support, especially in the twilight hours.  Another bonus in this thread is that there are plenty of other things to talk about other than cancer - whatever you feel like, really.

I'm rubbish at sleeping anyway, with or without stress, so I'm usually around regardless of the hour.

If you ever feel you'd like an out of hours natter, about anything under the sun, I'm at your service!

All good luck for tomorrow's meeting lass.

    Gill xx
