Hi, I’m coming to the end of my chemotherapy and had a discussion about hormone treatment drugs. I’ve been told that the zoladex and Exemestane are the best options. I’ve been looking at the side effects and notice hair thinning is a side effect. Having just gone through chemotherapy and losing the majority of my hair will taking these drugs affect my hair growing back.
Has anyone been through this treatment?
thanks
Hi all I e just changed from tamoxifen to Exemestane with my zoladex. The onc asked me to think about bisphosphonates is any one else taking these also?
My oncologist has mentioned it to me also but don't know much about it so I would be interested also
Mine also mentioned it but we haven't really discussed it in detail as I won't start on Exemestane or Zoladex until after chemo is finished in a few months.
Hi Aimee, I think I will decide to leave it as I had enough with pain and side effects from chemotherapy , mastectomy and radiotherapy. I can’t afford to get more side effects from Zoladex. I am having tamoxifen anyway . That’s same as Zoladex? I am already having fatty liver issues from the chemotherapy. Still struggling to get settle down from radiation and fatty liver . Extremely tired some days . Also my surgeon said don’t use tummy for any injections whatsoever otherwise he can’t use my tummy fat for my reconstruction. I don’t know what to do?
can you please advice. Thank you

Also from mastectomy Lymphedema issues with my arm , it’s so pain full . Also I think I got cording in my arm and it goes down to my arm .
Aww bless you..the tiredness will subside eventually, make sure you are resting enough and listen to your body.
Your oncologist knows what they are talking about, and tamoxifen has been used for years with great results..you go with what you feel hun, it's a gard decision to make but you have to do what's right for you at the time and you are having issues anyway which you are having to cope with..
Sending you lots of love.
