Hello - first post - 45 / single -I had a lumpectomy in October in my right breast followed by radiotherapy in December. I’ve kind of left my body to it - noticed hardness around the incision so assumed scar tissue. But the last few weeks I’ve noticed the underside / inside of the breast being lumpy and not full in comparison to the left. It’s not small lumps - almost as if the inside has shrunk and doesn’t fit the skin is the best description I can give. Also whether I wear a sports bra or normal one , it leaves indentations on the right breast but not the left. Any thoughts ? I’m due to see my surgeon again in May but it’s freaked me out a bit.
Hi Allchange
I had lumpectomy April 2018 and mine has hard lumpy areas and indentations......mine still changing after all this time.
Our breasts are like a construction site after surgery.
Scar tissue and dents etc are common....i too get dents with different bras.
Mention it to your surgeon......they can offer a type of reconstruction where they put your own body fat from stomach or back and syringe it to fill dents (if your interested in that type of reconstruction).
Take care
