My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

    hi, ailsa
Just got soaked to the skin whilst taking dogs out - a downpour came from nowhere, so now have twp very wet, smelly dogs to contend with!
Hope to do trough today between showers.
Weymouth and surrounding area are great; we've had a couple of holidays nearby over the years. Would Declan enjoy fossil hunting? If you go to Charmouth, there's a litle museum , and you can go fossil hunting on the beach - just need a hammer. It's called the jurassic coast around there,so there's evey chance he'll find something. Lyme regis is lovely, too.
    enjoy!!!

    Hi Ladies & Kev,

I will try hard and not punch Mickey! Having a betterish day today. Went and got my hair done for the first time but couldn't face telling my hairdresser. He did ask a couple of questions about my husband "is he at work today", etc but I just fobbed him off. Couldn't bear the akwardness. I also went to our local chemist for the first time as had ran out of calpol for the wee man after getting his MMR. It was quite hard as I was in there all the time so they knew our situation well but I managed it so that was the main thing. I wouldn't like to change going to somewhere else just because I couldn't face it. Also got the rest of my eldest sons birthday presents. He is 5 on 19th August. Just need to find somewhere to hide them though. I got him toys and also a pogo stick (don't ask!! I think he saw Tigger on one) and a skateboard so will have to find somewhere big to hide them.

Take care everyone - I have another viewer tonight so off to do some cleaning.

Hi. I think Declan would enjoy fossil hunting. The photo of Charmouth looks great. I think we will be having some fun.
Hi Gayle. I had to go to the hairdressers the weekend after Chris's funeral for the first time. It is dreadful telling people but they all knew Chris was very ill and I live in a small village so there would have been no avoiding telling the truth. It kinda kills conversation for a while! They knew in the chemist before I got there. One of the receptionists from the docs next door had been round to tell them so no great shocks there. I'm glad to hear you have finished the birthday shopping and good luck with the viewing this evening.
Hope you have done packing now Helen.
Hi Kev - not doing too bad. I called in to see one of Chris's sisters today as I don't get a chance when I am at work. It was nice but a bit distressing when it was time to go. Still - it's done now.

I'm the same with my hair i dont want to go to my usual hairdresser as she always asked me lots of questions (to the point of intrusion) but i cant face another one with the "have you been on holiday yet" polite questions . Oh well looks like getting longer

Hi, Lynne the thing is now that cars are so cheap to buy second hand and so hard to get what you want when you sell or part exchange and car dealers rip you off, what you have to do is weigh up how much you'd get for yours and how you will pay out to make the difference and then see, good luck with it though.

Ailsa, going into places where you both went is just awful isn't it, I don't go in our local restaurant any more even though we were going there for over 20 years!!

Gayle, howz your hair? find a good hiding place if you can.

Helen, sit on that case to zip it up and have a good holiday.

Fiona, Sue and all the other lovely people take care.

    Kev xx

I've been studying cars recently - don't know why as I have no intention of changing mine right now. I drive a twin cab van so it has plenty of room. It past it's MOT last month and has plenty of life in it yet but when I was on the motorway so much last week I found myself wandering what I will get next. Unlike you Lynne, I think I will have to stick with big so I will at least get a people carrier and maybe another van - we'll see. Good luck with the buy anyway.
Your right Kev - it is very hard to go anywhere where we both went and I tend to avoid it if I can. How are you doing this evening?
Right - Wii fit time I think. Apparently there was a problem with my laser - sounds painful! I need to see if it is okay now. Ailsa xx

Yes your right Kev i probably will get ripped of with the dealers , and its probably to much trouble to do anything about it so i'll probably keep it , we hadn't had it that long and it is nice it just uses alot of fuel . Ailsa good luck with the Wii i cant motivate myself to go on mine , using the pc is about as enegetic as i am at the moment ..
